Lego Ninjago: Reversed Fates AU ~ Legacy of the Silver Ninja

Summary:

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if the fate of the Ninja were reversed?

What if Lloyd never went to Darkley's?

What if Kai and Nya had their powers swapped?

What if Zane was founded out to be a Nindroid at the start?

What if Jay wasn't adopted by Ed and Edna?

What if Cole's father died instead?

What if Garmadon was the Ninja's Sensei?

But more importantly…

What if Morro was alive, and was destined to be Master of Energy?

Inspired by the Judgemental Critter's RWBY Reversed Fates AU, I made this AU to see what would our Ninja be like if their fates were reversed.

~

After learning that Morro, the son of Lord Wu is destined to be the Silver Ninja. The Ninjas must train Morro to become the Elemental Master of Energy. As the time for the battle against father and son will occur. The Ninjas must not let Lord Wu win against the Ninjas… unaware that a new threat plans to stop them… and it's far more eviler than Lord Wu, himself.

Chapter 1: Darkness Shall Rise

Chapter Text

The Silver Ninja…

The Master of Energy

An element that was a combination of the four elements of creation…

Earth…

Fire…

Ice…

And Lightning…

Ever since the Ninjas discovered the scroll that had a prophecy of the Silver Ninja…

The Ninjas wondered who would end up being that Ninja…

They trained hard…

They reached their full potential

They did everything they could do, hoping that one of them would be the Silver Ninja

Unaware that the Silver Ninja wasn't going to be one of them…

Instead… it was someone else…

Morro Garmadon…

The son of Lord Wu, himself…

The moment the Ninjas saw him…

They saw Morro as nothing but an evil brat…

Wanting to be like his father…

But as time went on…

They immediately realized one thing…

That Morro wasn't evil…

He was never supposed to be evil in the first place…

Because of one thing…

Morro was the Silver Ninja…

They still remember the talk that the Ninjas had after saving Morro…

~

After learning that Morro was the Silver Ninja…

“I don't believe it Sensei…” Zane said in a stunned voice. “Morro's the Silver Ninja?”

The Golden Weapons did glow when he was present.” Sensei Garmadon stated. “And you four were chosen to protect my nephew.

“But isn't Morro an immature manchild who thinks that he's evil?” Jay questioned.

JAY!!!” Cole scolded. “We just rescued him, learned that he's the Silver Ninja, and you asked that!?”

“I just wanted to know!” The Master of Lightning replied. “Right, Sensei?”

“It is true, Jay.” Garmadon replied. “However… Morro is not someone who is evil…” he added. “In fact… Morro is someone who is misguided.”

The Ninjas gave confused looks at the Master of Destruction.

“What do you mean by that Sensei?” Nya asked. “Why would you say that Morro's—”

And before Nya could finish…

…she realized something.

“Sensei?” Nya asked. “Did… did you knew that Morro was going to be the Silver Ninja?

Garmadon gave a silent nod.

The Ninjas gasped.

“You knew that Morro was going to be the Silver Ninja, and you didn't even tell us!?” Jay asked.

“If I did, you four wouldn't have reached your full potential.” Garmadon explained.

“But Sensei, you and Lloyd always told us everything we wanted to know!” Cole replied.

“Well I always want to get the point across.” Garmadon explained. “…still it doesn't explain why my brother is father's favorite.” He muttered underneath his breath, bitterly.

“What was that?” Jay asked innocently.

“Nothing.” Garmadon quickly responded. “But the point is… you all now know that Morro is the Silver Ninja.” He added. “Even my brother knew that Morro would be the Silver Ninja as well.

The Ninjas gasped again.

“Lord Wu… knew that Morro would be the Silver Ninja as well?” Nya asked.

“Indeed.” Garmadon replied. “You see, knowing that the venom of the Great Devourer will turn him evil, my brother adopted Morro and trained him to be a warrior.” He explained.

“And that warrior was the Silver Ninja?” Zane guessed.

“Exactly.” Garmadon responded. “But by the time the evil in his heart took over, Morro became what you once knew him as…”

“A brat?” Jay guessed.

JAY!!!” Cole shouted as he slapped the Blue Ninja on the back of his head.

“Anyways, once we have finished with the Serpentine. We can focus on you training Morro to not only be the Master of Energy… but to be your leader as well.

And after hearing that…

…the Ninjas widened their eyes at what Sensei Garmadon said.

~

Morro… was going to be the leader?

Well…

It made sense in one way.

Because not only Morro was one of the grandsons of the First Spinjitzu Master.

It was more than that…

Morro was a driving force to the Ninjas…

And there were clues to it…

At first, when Morro released the Serpentine

It made the Ninjas learn that they couldn't let anything evil get past them.

But the more they thought of it…

Morro sort of…

Morro sort of guided them learning of how serious threats would be for the Ninjas.

And those clues kept getting bigger.

Like how Morro and Lloyd's pranks lead to the Ninjas giving them an advantage into stopping the Serpentine from uniting.

Or how Morro disguised himself as a Serpentine, leading the Ninjas to the City of Ouroboros.

And then after the reveal of Morro being the Silver Ninja…

That was when Morro's leadership skills came to light.

As not only he suggested the plan of stealing three of the four Fangblades while Pythor was gone.

But he also got Lord Wu to slay the Great Devourer.

And right now…

The Ninjas have a job to do…

That being that they had to clean up after the mess the Great Devourer made.

~

After the Great Devourer's defeat…

The Ninjas and some civilians were rebuilding the city that was destroyed by the Great Devourer.

“And that's it! All fixed up and Serpentine free.” Cole said as he propped up a sign.

“About time.” Nya spoke with some slight annoyance.

“Nya, what's wrong?” Jay asked with concern.

“It's nothing.” The Master of Fire responded. “It's just… well… this.” She said as she tried to emit a flame… only for nothing to appear.

Despite the victory of the Ninjas against the Great Devourer.

It came with a great cost.

Lord Wu ran off with the Golden Weapons in his hands after slaying the Great Devourer.

And that meant that the Ninjas' powers were almost gone as well.

“I mean, I'm glad that our powers aren't gone.” Nya said. “But we don't have our Golden Weapons, the Destiny's Bounty and Ultra Sonic Raider are destroyed, our dragon's hurt, and we don't have a place to sleep!

“At least you can do Spinjitzu.” A voice responded. “And that's rich coming from me since you're going to train me to be the Silver Ninja.”

It was Morro who was with Kai, both of them throwing away some trash.

“No one ever said being a hero is easy.” Zane sighed as he welded the sign back in place. “Though our good deeds may never make us rich, they make us rich in other ways.”

“Zane, no offense. But now's not the time to get philosophical.” Kai stated.

“Well at least we're helping the community.” Jay reminded. “Speaking of which… Morro, where's Sensei and Lloyd?” He asked the Silver Ninja.

“They said that they're getting us some place for us to live in.” Morro answered.

Just then two figures arrived in a shark-themed motorbike that was labeled 'Property of GPL-Tech'.

“And we have.” Garmadon said as he and Lloyd got out of the motorbike.

“Sensei! You're back!” Jay said. “Cool bike. Where did you get it?”

“Let's just say that dad knew a guy who brought him this bike, in which said guy knows a girl, who's also a real estate agent who also can help you find a place.” Lloyd explained as he presented a pamphlet.

“Really? But there's a waiting list a mile long to live in Ninjago City.” Nya pointed out.

“That didn't stop us from finding it.” Garmadon responded. “And besides, we have to find a couple of components to fix the Ultra Sonic Raider. And my dragon ointment has finally arrived. It's a day's trip, but once we get back, he'll be flying again.” He explained.

“But what about Lord Wu?” Cole asked.

“Cole's right.” Morro commented. “Knowing father, he'll do anything to stop us.

“Morro's right, Sensei.” Kai responded. “Someone needs to do something about it.”

“That's why I got these.” Garmadon said as he pulled out a thermist.

“Is that a thermist?” The Ninjas questioned.

“I made a little pitstop at a tea shop.” Garmadon stated. “Inside it, is a tea known as Invisibili-Tea.”

“Once you drink it, you'll become invisible. Drink it again, and you'll become visible.” Lloyd explained.

Kai raised his eyebrows in suspicion.

“There's no way tea would do something like that.” Kai bluntly stated.

“There's no way of knowing if it would work if you don't do it.” Garmadon replied.

“Fine… but I need some sort of vehicle to follow Lord Wu's footsteps.” Kai said.

“Well… I did find an old Serpentine Motorbike in the garbage.” Morro said as he pulled out an old bike.

“I hope it works.” Kai said as he got on it. “I'll be back.” He said as he drove off, following Lord Wu's footprints.

“We got to go too.” Garmadon said. As he and Lloyd got back in the shark-themed motorbike. “Ready Lloyd?”

“Let's go dad!” The Samurai responded.

And with that, the Ninjas saw the Garmadons leaving.

After that, Morro got a good look at the pamphlet.

“Patty Keys, Real Estate Queen.” He said as he read the pamphlet. “This might be what we need.”

“I hope so. Because we get a roof over our head, we can start properly training you.” Jay stated.

“Good, because if we know Lord Wu like what Morro said, he's not going to be taking any breaks.” Cole added.

“But what about the Serpentine?” Morro asked.

He was right.

Even though that the Great Devourer was defeated.

The Serpentine were still at large.

However, the Serpentine Generals helped the Ninjas in some way.

And they were willing to let bygones be bygones… somehow.

But knowing what the Serpentine are…

The chance of it being a mistake for the Ninjas to trust the Serpentine generals are very high.

~

Meanwhile, with the Serpentine…

They made the Destiny's Bounty into their hideout…

“Ssssso… you're telling me that you helped the Ninjasssss by ssssstopping the Great Devourer with them?” Fang-Suei asked. “But they were our enemiesssss!”

“Well we had to get their help, sssssomehow!” Skalidor stated.

And besssssidesssss it wasssss the only thing to do to ssssstop the Great Devourer.” Skales added.

“Doesssss that mean that the Ninjasssss are no longer our enemiesssss?” Bytar asked.

“I honessssstly don't know.” Skales answered.

“And now that twisssssted Pythor is gone…”

“…we need sssssomeone to lead usssss.” Fangtom stated.

“Then fear not, for I will lead you.” A voice stated.

The Serpentine turned around, and saw that it was Skales.

“Lead usssss? To where? The City of Ouroborosssss hasssss been dessssstroyed. We have no home.” Mezmo asked.

“Yeah, thanksssss to the Great Devourer, which I tried to persssssuade you from releasssssing it after learning from the Ninjasssss!” Another voice pointed out. “I told you in the firssssst place not to awaken the Devourer. But no, you lissssstened to Pythor!

It was Spitta.

“We thought you were drunk on venom Ssssspitta.” Chokun bluntly commented. “You are the Venomari'sssss venomoholic and you alwaysssss sssssaid the mossssst insssssane of thingsssss.”

Spitta responded by blushing in embarrassment.

“Look, the point isssss that we need sssssomeone to lead usssss, sssssomeone who isssss not as crazy as Pythor.” Skales stated. “Ssssso that'sssss why it would be wissssse for me to lead you.”

“I beg to differ.” A voice said.

Everyone turned to see that it was Lord Wu, who had the Golden Weapons with him.

“Lord Wu!” The Serpentine gasped in horror.

“Forgive me, I haven't been myself lately. But now that I have the Golden Weapons, it's time that I got back to my roots.” Wu stated as he approached the Snakes. “If I'm going to rule Ninjago, I know I can't do it all by myself. The Skeletons served their purpose, but I've always been partial to snakes. If you want someone to follow, follow me.”

“Why should we follow you?” Skales asked.

“You want a home, I give you a home.” Lord Wu said, right before he pointed his staff onto the Destiny's Bounty's remains, causing an ominously bright yellow light to come from his staff.

And when the remains of the Destiny's Bounty were hit by the magic of Lord Wu's staff, it caused a bunch of sand to circle it around the remains, rebuilding the Destiny's Bounty to be mainly black and with red and yellow accents.

“What did you do?” Spitta asked.

“I am the Elemental Master of Creation.” Lord Wu stated. “And with the power of the power of the weapons, my powers are far more stronger. So I give you… the Dragon's Bounty!”

That immediately made all of the Serpentine cheer.

Well…

All of the Serpentine except for the Generals.

“Am I the only one who thinksssss it'sssss a bad idea to trussssst Lord Wu?” Skales asked. “I mean, I know he ssssslayed the Great Devourer, but he alssssso got thossssse Ssssskeletonsssss to beat us.”

“Didn't you sssssay that we had to help the Ninjasssss?” Skalidor reminded.

“…shut up.” The Hypnobrai General ordered with gritted fangs.

And with that, the Dragon's Bounty flew off as the Serpentine watched…

…unaware that a certain brown-haired Honorary Ninja was watching after drinking the Invisibili-Tea for him to become visible.

“That's not good. I need to warn the others.” Kai said in a low voice.

After that, he drank the Invisibili-Tea once more, and drove off.

~

Meanwhile with the recently recreated Dragon's Bounty…

“Your eminence, excussssse my ignorance, but why isssss it we fly in the opposssssite direction of the Ninjasssss, when you have the Golden Weaponsssss in your posssssesssssion?” Mezmo asked.

Because they have my son, and it is written that he will one day defeat me.” Lord Wu stated. “What good would turning Ninjago into my own image be when that victory would be fleeting?” He asked.

“Then… what if we dessssstroy him?” Chokun suggested, which was met with a response of Lord Wu grabbing the Scythe of Quakes, and having the Scythe's blade near the Constrictai's throat.

“Do that, and you'll be thankful that I don't have the powers of Destruction.” Lord Wu threatened in a low voice.

“M-My apologiesssss…” Chokun apologized in a fearful tone of voice.

“Lock him in the brig.” Lord Wu ordered.

“Yesssss Lord Wu.” Fang-Suei and Mezmo said as the two picked up Chokun. Followed by the latter taking the Constrictai to the brig.

“But that does give me an idea… if we destroy my brother and the Ninjas, then my son will never reach his full potential.” The Master of Creation commented. “However… I don't know what to do with my nephew Lloyd, since he's 12.” He muttered. “Still… the prophecy of the Silver Ninja will never be fulfilled, and Ninjago will be mine…forever!” He laughed.

“Ssssso… why are we flying away?” Fang-Suei asked.

“Because we are flying to the Golden Peaks, birthplace of the Golden Weapons.” Lord Wu stated. “Even they have secrets yet to be unlocked. And once I uncover their full potential, nothing will stand in our way.

And with that, the Dragon's Bounty flew off.

~

Elsewhere with the Ninjas…

They managed to get an apartment…

…which was… something to put it.

This one-bedroom, one-half-bath is a cozy dream. Who needs extras when everything is in arm's reach?” A woman said as she presented the apartment for the Ninjas to live in.

“It's… it's lovely Patty Keys.” Nya tried to respond.

“Now, wait until you see the lighting.” Patty said as she turned on the lightbulb, only for it to fall onto the ground and break.

“Well… it's… an attempt.” Jay said.

“How about this, who needs lights when you have this view?” Patty said as she opened the blindfolds, revealing it to be a wall.

“I've seen worse.” Morro dryly commented. “Stop trying to make this look like a really great hotel room.” He suggested. “And why does it smell like old people?”

“Look, kid. I'm trying to work around your budget. This is all you can afford.” Patty responded in an annoyed tone.

“Well it's promising.” Cole said as he looked around. “But we need to remember our main goal objective. We need to train Morro.” He reminded. “If this is all we can afford, this is all we can afford.”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, let's not rush into any decision.” Jay spoke. “I mean, if it's really all about Morro, don’t we need to live in some place that'll make training easier?” He suggested.

“Jay's right, Cole.” Nya replied. “If we have to get Morro ready to save Ninjago from his father, shouldn't he at least have his own room?” She asked.

“Well… I think I have another property that you'll just love.” Patty said.

~

Later…

The Ninjas were taken to a very fancy apartment that was atop of a skyscraper.

“Now, this is the nine-bedroom Hero Suite.” Patty presented. “Floor-to-ceiling windows, digital wall television, state-of-the-art game console—”

“Um, doesn't it seem a little out of our price range?” Cole asked.

“Oh, sure it costs a little more, but you deserve it.” Patty replied. “Not to mention, there's also a Dragon Keep on the roof.”

“Sweet!” Nya commented.

“Maybe we can get a hero discount?” Jay asked. “After all, we are the ninja who saved the city.”

“I thought Lord Wu saved the city.” Patty responded, causing Jay to huff.

Fortunately Morro knew what he had to do.

“He did, but if it wasn't for the Ninjas for bringing him, Ninjago would've been done for.” Morro replied.

That immediately caused Jay to smile.

“However we don't need a hero discount.” Morro added. “We're good for now.”

OH COME ON!!!” The Blue Ninja complained much to the Silver Ninja's humor.

“But… how are we going to pay all this stuff?” Zane asked.

“We could get day jobs to pay for the extra expenses.” Nya suggested. “We always said we could use a little more responsibility.

“But what about training Morro?” Cole reminded.

Did I mention the in-house training facility?” Patty added.

And after hearing that, the Ninjas looked at each other…

…and smiled as they responded…

“We'll take it!”

~

Later…

The Ninjas immediately went to get jobs to pay for the apartment.

Jay went to work as a pizza delivery boy.

Cole went to work as a security guard for a bank.

Zane went to work as a chef at a sushi restaurant.

And Nya went to work as a party entertainer.

Things were going easy as they saved up enough money to pay while Morro trained by himself…

…if only it was always like that.

Because the more the Ninjas worked…

The more they hated it.

Jay kept delivering pizza, but rarely got a tip. Which was unfair.

Cole accidentally assumed an old lady was a robber… which was embarrassing.

Zane had to cook food for customers who didn't know what to order. So he ahd to speed things up.

And Nya immediately regretted being a party entertainer. Because children were nothing but small demons.

~

After that…

“Ugh… my feet… I can't feel my feet.” Cole groaned in pain as he placed his feet in some nice relaxing ice cold water.

“At least you only hurt your feet. I felt like I was trampled on by a bull!” Nya responded as she was covered several footprints. “There we so many kids at that party. And they wouldn't stop.” She complained. “I even asked one of the kids' parents if they had any 'Special Happy Time Juice' for me to pull through.”

“Honestly, I would rather feel pain than getting my gears locked up several times.” Zane dryly commented, which was very rare of him to do. “I didn't even know my gears could lock up.” He said as he oiled himself up.

“I didn't even earn any money.” Jay stated. “I don't even have enough energy to play video games.” He said as he fainted.

“Yikes… so… is training me not an option?”

WHAT DO YOU THINK THE ANSWER IS?” The Nindroid snapped, which caused Morro to yelp.

“I-I was just asking!” The Silver Ninja responded.

“Sorry Morro… it's just… we need to earn enough money for us to pay rent.” Zane apologized.

“We'll train you once we pay for it.” Nya suggested. “Speaking of which… Jay, how's the money situation?” She asked as she turned to the Blue Ninja.

“I don't have the energy to get up… but… we're not even halfway there!” He said as he pointed to the jar.

The Ninjas gasped.

“Are you telling me that was how much we made?” Nya asked. “Our rent is due tomorrow! There's no way we'll pay it!”

“What are we going to do?” Cole complained.

Why don't we move back into the old apartment?” Morro suggested. “The rent's probably cheaper.”

“But Morro, you're the Silver Ninja… this is the Hero Suite, and you must be treated like a hero!” Jay responded.

“Yeah, but I don't want to be in a room with you guys suffering like this.” Morro replied. “I mean… seriously, you are Ninjas. Not poorly treated 3D animators from Activision and Blizzard.” He said.

But despite Morro's response.

The Ninjas had their priorities set on to paying the rent.

“Well… I could do a double shift.” Cole said with slight pain in his voice. “Although I might get tired.”

“I can work overtime.” Zane said. “As long as I oil myself up for it.”

“I hope that I can sling a few more pizza pies.” Jay hoped. “If I get paid.”

“I'll do anything as long as it's not the Human Piñata.” Nya mumbled. “I… I can't stand it.”

Everyone turned to the Red Ninja.

“Don't ask.” She ordered.

Suffice to say, Morro only responded with a disappointed sigh.

At this rate… he'll be the Master of Energy by the time Lord Wu takes over Ninjago.

~

Meanwhile at a subway…

The Serpentine Generals had to think of something.

“Ssssso… remind me again, why we are doing thisssss?” Acidicus asked.

“Our fellow Ssssserpentine are following Wu.” Skales reminded. “Ssssso we need to do sssssomething truly impresssssive if we're going to earn their ressssspect to win them back.” He explained. “Let'sssss brainssssstorm ideasssss on how we can do that.”

“Well… releasssssing the Great Devourer isssss not an option for sure.” Skalidor said.

“Then we how about we releassssse a ssssswarm of beesssss?” Acidicus suggested.

“Now where in the world would we do that and get beesssss?” Skales asked.

That's when Fangtom had an idea.

“Then how about thisssss…”

…what if we tricked the Ninjasssss?” The Fangpyre General asked.

That immediately gave Skales interest.

“What do you have in mind?” The Hypnobrai asked.

~

Elsewhere with the Master of Lightning…

“Pizza delivery. 21st and Union. Get it there in time, or else it's on you.” Jay's boss explained.

“Um… how much time is left?” The Blue Ninja asked with uncertainty.

5 minutes.” Jay's boss explained.

“There's no way I'll make it in 5 minutes!” Jay explained.

“Then I guess it comes out of your pocket. Now get going!” The boss ordered.

Jay sighed and drove off to deliver the pizza, hoping that he gets paid.

He dodged every car that was coming into traffic…

…and then came a tanker, in which he had to immediately dodge.

After that…

“Help! Someone help me!” A woman shouted as three muggers tried to steal her purse.

Well, it beats delivering pizza and getting little to no tips.

“Stop!” Jay ordered.

“Or what?” One of the Muggers asked. “It's 3 against 1!” He taunted.

Jay responded by speeding up his bike, startling the muggers.

As the muggers tried to run away from him.

“Blind alley guys.” Jay taunted. After that, he sped up and landed on the muggers.

“Here's your purse, ma'am!” The Blue Ninja said as he handed the woman her purse.

“Thank you, Pizza Ninja!” The woman thanked.

“You're welcome!” Jay responded as he drove off.

~

Later…

Jay made it to 21st and Union…

…he hoped.

Because looking around, it was pretty empty.

So he had to ask someone.

“Um, excuse me?” Jay asked as he turned to a man. “This is 21st and Union, right?”

“Of course it is.” The man responded. “But there hasn't been anything built here in ages.

Jay was immediately confused.

So he turned to where the address was…

…and there was nothing there in 21st and Union!

No building!

No house!

No tent!

Not even a car!

Why would someone order pizza in this place?

Jay had to find out…

That's when he heard something, something coming from a manhole…

it was the Serpentine.

“Ssssso, after you rob the bank, we embark on phassssse two. Ingeniousssss!” A familiar Hypnobrai's voice said.

It was Skales.

Whatever the Serpentine had planned, it wasn't what Jay wanted.

But orders are orders.

So he had to do something.

“Um… did somebody order a pizza?” The Blue Ninja asked with uncertainty. “And that thing about robbing the bank was nothing but an act?”

That's when Skalidor arrived to get the pizza.

“Finally!” The Constrictai General shouted. “I wasssss getting—”

The moment he saw Jay, Skalidor stared at him with a blank expression.

“Uh… hi?” The Blue Ninja waved.

~

Later…

Jay was captured by his customers.

The Serpentine Generals.

“Ssssso… you overheard usssss?” Skales asked.

“Um… yeah. I did.” The Master of Lightning said. “And honestly, I don't have time to deal with you guys.” He bluntly stated. “It's bad enough that Lord Wu has the Golden Weapons, it's awful that I barely get paid through tips, and the fact that you guys plan on… whatever you are doing, that takes the cake!” He complained. “…so, are you going to tip me?”

“He makesssss a good point.” Acidicus reminded, snacking on some pizza.

“Fine.” Skales groaned. “How much do you get?” He asked.

“Barely enough to collect to pay rent!” The Blue Ninja responded.

The Serpentine Generals just stared at Jay with silence.

“Barely?” Skalidor questioned. “Yeesh, that's rough.”

“Ssssso… uh… should I know what you're—”

But before Jay could finish, the Serpentine took the subway, and left.

“…and they left… great.” Jay sighed. “Come on, Jay. You gotta warn the others. You can figure a way out of this.” He told himself as he tried to escape, only for him to fail.

“Allow me to help.” A voice said.

Jay turned to see Kai.

“Kai! You're back!” Jay said as he was freed from his ropes thanks to the Honorary Ninja. “Thanks for freeing me, how did you know that I was in trouble?”

“I didn't know that you were in trouble.” Kai answered. “But anywas, I got bad news.”

“I know.” Jay responded. “The Serpentine Generals are back!”

Kai immediately stared at Jay with a stunned expression.

“Actually… it was something different, but that's tame to what I have to say.” He told the Master of Lightning.

“Well whatever it is, it has to wait.” Jay replied. “Because if we don't do anything, the Serpentine will rob a bank!”

Kai was immediately flabbergasted.

“The Serpentine… are robbing a bank?” Kai asked. “If Morro was still that manchild he was in the past, he would find their plan idiotic.” He bluntly stated. “Still… how did you know that they were robbing a bank?”

“I overheard them when I was delivering pizza's. I'll explain later.” Jay responded. “Now we got to stop the Serpentine from committing that robbery!”

And with that, the two ran off in the direction to where the Serpentine are.

~

Meanwhile with Cole…

Cole was sleeping on the job.

“Everything ok?” Cole's boss asked, just in time for Cole to wake up.

“Nothing out of the ordinary, boss!” The Black Ninja responded.

“Well, thanks for taking the double shift.” His boss said as he left.

“My pleasure.” Cole responded.

And with that, his boss left.

After that, Cole immediately yawned.

“And now… time for a little—”

But before Cole could finish, he heard the alarms ringing, so he had to check inside.

~

Inside…

“What happened!?” Cole asked.

Someone robbed the bank vault through a tunnel!” A man said as he points to the bank vault door, which was opened a bit, and that was when he heard something…

…the Serpentine.

“Take it all!” Acidicus' voice ordered.

“Wouldn't it be bessssst…”

“…if we wait for Ssssskalesssss?” Fangtom's voices asked.

“He'sssss carrying out the ressssst of the mission, remember?” Skalidor's voice replied.

“Oh right.” Fangtom's voice replied.

“Now let'sssss get out of here, ssssso that we can take the sssssubway!”

And the moment Cole opened the door to the bank vault.

The Serpentine were already gone, and they left behind a hole.

Cole immediately knew what that meant…

…he had the to get the other Ninjas.

~

Meanwhile with Nya…

She was some kid's birthday party, and was giving out balloons.

At least it's better than being living voodoo doll.

That was when she noticed a police car passed by.

“That doesn't look good…” Nya commented. “Looks like trouble. Looks like they need me.”

But as she was trying to leave.

“Not so fast!” A woman said as she grabbed Nya. “I still have you for an hour!”

“Look lady, I'm sorry. But wherever that police car is heading. It loos like trouble.” Nya bluntly stated.

“Not until my son is done playing.” The woman said as she presented her son, only for the mother to be met with Nya running away.

That made the woman angry.

“YOU'RE FIRED!!!“

~

Meanwhile with Zane…

He was busy serving a family, consisting of a father, a mother, and their son.

“It's true, at the bank. I hear they stole all that money, and no one's doing anything about it.” The father said.

That immediately caught the Master of Ice's attention.

But as Zane was about to serve the son an egg…

he unknowingly dropped the egg on the kid's head, much to the shock and horror of the parents as the kid cried.

“I-I'm sorry!” Zane apologized.

“YOU'RE FIRED!!!” His boss shouted.

“It must be my hard drive overheating… I… I have to go!”

And with that, Zane immediately ran to the back of the restaurant.

~

Later…

Nya and Zane ran to find Cole…

…who got fired.

“Nya! Zane! Thank the First Spinjitzu Master that you guys are here.” Cole said. “We got trouble at the bank. The Serpentine are back.”

“That must explain the police car I saw at the park!” Nya responded.

“And it also explains the bank robbery that I heard of.” Zane added.

“I'm guessing you guys got fired for it as well?” Cole asked.

“Yep, and I'm glad I did.” Nya bluntly stated. “I now feel bad for birthday clowns.”

“I got fired too. My systems have overheated as well.” Zane responded. “I'm just glad I didn't lose my head figuratively, literally, or figuratively AND literally.”

“Cole, where did the Serpentine go?” Nya asked.

“I overheard them saying something about a subway.” Cole responded.

“Then what are we waiting for, we got to stop those snakes!” Nya said.

Just then, Nya heard her phone ringing.

“Hello?”

“Nya? Is that you?” A voice called.

“Jay!” Nya answered. “Where are you?” She asked.

“I'm in the Subway System.” Jay responded. “I'm with Kai. The Serpentine robbed a bank!”

“We know, we're on our way to stop them, we'll meet you and Kai there!” Nya said.

“Uh… well, I hope I'll take your word for it.” Jay responded. “Just hurry up!”

And with that the phone call ended.

“Well, what are we waiting for… let's go!” Nya shouted.

And with that, the Ninjas performed Spinjitzu by shouting 'NINJA… GO!!!', as they got their masks on.

~

Meanwhile with Jay and Kai…

“Are you sure you know where we're going?” Kai asked.

“I hope so.” Jay answered.

You already answered that 10 times already!” Kai reminded.

“Can you blame me!?” Jay asked. “This is the second time I've been in the subway!”

“Whatever, we need to find those snakes.” Kai grumbled.

~

Meanwhile with the others Ninjas…

The three saw a passing train, and they’re immediately jumped on it.

Sssssoundsssss like we have company, boysssss.” A voice hissed.

It was Acidicus.

“It mussssst be the other three.” Another voice stated.

It was Skalidor.

“Ugh, isn't there an easier way to get inside?” Cole asked as he tried to hold onto the speeding train.

“Well the only inside is to get a ticket—AUGH!!!

But before Nya could finish, she was immediately grabbed by the Constrictai General, causing a hole to open.

“Or we could take that entrance.” Cole suggested. “Nindroids first.”

“You are such a gentleman.” Zane replied as he and Cole jumped inside.

~

Inside…

Cole and Zane saw that Nya slipped out of Skalidor's grip, who tried to capture her again.

To which Nya responded by punching the Constrictai.

That's when Acidicus stepped in.

“Care for a drink?” The Venomari asked, right before he spat venom on Zane, to which the Nindroid dodged.

“You good?” Cole asked.

“I am.” The Master of Ice responded. “I'm just glad I—”

“ZANE LOOK OUT!!!”

But before the White Ninja could process the Red Ninja's warning, Zane was immediately hit by Fangtom's staff.

“Ok. That hurt.” The Nindroid said, rubbing his head. “Let me have this dance, snake.” He said as he threw the Fangpyre General to the ground, knocking him out.

“That's one down, and two to go.” Cole said.

After that, one of Fangtom's heads got up and tried to bite the Black Ninja. Only for Cole to respond with a kick.

“These Serpentine are a lot harder to defeat without our weapons.” Cole pointed out.

“Then we need to keep on fighting if we don't want these snakes to get away with robbing a bank!” Nya said.

You think we robbed the bank jussssst to get away?” Acidicus taunted.

“Uh… yeah? Why would you even do that?” Nya responded.

That's when Cole noticed something.

“Wait a minute… where's Skales?” The Master of Earth asked.

That's when the Serpentine Generals smirked.

“It'sssss all part of the plan to dissssstract you long enough…”

…for Ssssskalesssss to capture Sssssilver Ninja.” Fangtom stated.

The Ninjas immediately widened their eyes in horror.

They had to stop the Serpentine quickly.

Morro was going to be in danger.

~

Speaking of which, meanwhile with Morro…

“So, let me get this straight.” The Silver Ninja said. “Fangtom, Skalidor, and Acidicus, all robbed a bank. Distracting the Ninjas by fighting in the subway. So that you can kidnap me. All because that you don't like the fact that the other Serpentine are following my father?” Morro questioned the Hypnobrai General.

“Plusssss, your father isssss the only thing he caresssss about.” Skales responded. “Ssssso, he'll have no other choice but to let me lead the Ssssserpentine in exchange of your freedom!” He laughed.

“Well if I'm going to be kidnapped, it would be better than this place.” Morro bluntly stated. Causing Skales to stop.

“…what?” The Hypnobrai General responded.

“Yeah. Despite this grand place… the rent is to pricey to pay for, so the Ninjas had to take jobs to earn it.” Morro responded.

“What kind of jobsssss?” Skales questioned.

“Well Jay is an unpaid pizza delivery boy. Cole gets completely sore at his job of being a bank's security guard. Zane's circuits are on the fritz whenever he cooks at the sushi restaurant. And Nya is forced to be a party entertainer and has to deal with how psychotic kids are!” Morro explained.

“Yikesssss… that'sssss… that'sssss rough.” The Hypnobrai cringed.

“Yeah… it's not nice.” Morro responded. “But it's far better than something.”

“What isssss it?” Skales questioned.

THIS!” The Silver Ninja shouted as he grabbed a bo staff, and poked Skales in the eye, who growled in pain.

“You… you tricked me!” Skales hissed.

Morro responded by running to the suite's door, which was locked.

“DOOR IS LOCKED.” The Security System said.

OH COME ON!!!” Morro complained.

“Looksssss like no one'sssss here to help you…” Skales taunted as he approached the Master of Energy.

“I beg to differ.” A voice responded.

“Uncle Garmadon!” Morro shouted. “Help!”

~

Meanwhile with the other Ninjas…

They were still fighting the Serpentine…

“We need to save Morro!” Cole said as he tried to fend off Fangtom.

If only we had our weapons!” Nya answered as she tried to free herself from Skalidor's grasp.

That's when Zane got an idea.

“Who needs weapons when you can make your own?” The Nindroid asked as he took apart a subway pole, and used a piece of it as a shuriken, freeing Nya as the piece struck Skalidor.

“Smart thinking, Zane!” Cole said as he kicked Fangtom down.

After that, the Black Ninja picked up a metal pipe, and tossed it to the Red Ninja, who turned to Skalidor with a grin.

“Uh oh…” The Constrictai muttered.

*THWACK!*

And in a quick moment, Skalidor was slammed face first into a wall of the train.

“Ok… that wasssss a bad idea.” Skalidor grumbled.

Just then Cole noticed something in the window.

“Look, it's Jay and Kai!” He shouted as pointed in the distance.

~

Outside…

“Kai, look!” Jay said as he pointed to the train that had the Serpentine and Ninjas.

“It's the Ninjas!” Kai shouted.

“And their fighting the Serpentine!” Jay shouted.

“And the subway's getting faster!” The two shouted in unison.

And the moment they shouted that.

Their faces dropped in horror.

THE SUBWAY'S GETTING FASTER!!!” The two shouted in horror.

“I got to warn Nya!” Jay said as he pulled out his phone.

~

Inside…

Nya felt her phone ringing.

“Hello?” She answered.

NYA! IT'S JAY! YOU NEED TO STOP THE TRAIN!” The Blue Ninja's voice called. “It's speeding up, and it will crash into me and Kai!”

“I'm on it!” Nya responded as she hung up the phone.

She then turned to the Ninjas and the Serpentine.

“That was Jay, we need to stop this train!” The Master of Fire explained. “Where's the conductor!”

“Yeah… that'sssss going to be a problem.” Acidicus bluntly stated.

“Why's that?” Cole asked the Venomari General with a raised eyebrow.

“Well—”

But before Acidicus could finish.

Zane scanned the area, and responded.

It appears that the train appears to be automatically controlled.” The Master of Ice responded.

After that, the Ninjas stared at the Serpentine Generals.

“Well in hindsssssight—”

“Oh for the love of the Firssssst Ssssspinjitzu Massssster, you guysssss need to ssssstop thisssss train.” Skalidor told the Ninjas as he interrupted the other Serpentine. “Becaussssse we don't know how to explain thisssss sssssituation we dragged you into.”

“Then let's stop it!” Nya said as she ran to the front of the train to pull on the breaks.

Only for it to not move.

“It won't budge!” She shouted.

“I'll help!” Zane said as he helped Nya pulling the breaks.

However, it still not enough.

“I'll see what I can do!” Cole said as he helped the two Ninjas.

Unaware that the three Serpentine Generals were about to leave.

Fortunately the train came to a full stop, causing the Serpentine to fall over.

After that, the Ninjas went outside the train and saw Jay and Kai.

“Jay! Kai! Thank goodness we didn't hurt you!” Nya said as she hugged the two.

“Yeah, and we're glad that we ran into you three.” Jay said.

“We love to stay and chat, but right now we need to stop Skales from trying to kidnap Morro!” Cole responded. “Especially since we already stopped the other Serpentine Generals.

“You mean the same ones that left?” Jay asked.

The three Ninjas turned around and saw that the Generals were gone.

Needless to say, the three Ninjas groaned.

“That doesn't matter, because I need to tell Sensei something.” Kai said.

“What is it?” Zane asked.

That's when Kai answered…

…it's about Lord Wu.

~

Later…

The Ninjas and Kai made it to the Hero Suite.

It looked like some battle occurred.

Needless to say, the Ninjas were horrified.

“Oh no… are we too late?” Nya asked. “Where's Morro?”

“He's not here.” Zane stated.

“I can't believe we left him!” Jay sighed.

“We shouldn't have taken those jobs in the first place.” Cole spoke. “What were we thinking? Losing Morro was by far our greatest loss.”

“More like greatest lesson for you to teach.” A voice said.

Everyone turned to see that it was Morro who said that.

And with him were his cousin and uncle.

“Morro! You're back!” The Ninjas shouted as they breathed a sigh a relief.

“I wasn't going to be, until Lloyd and Uncle Garmadon showed up at the last moment.” The Master of Energy explained.

“Yeah, we go away for a day and everything falls apart.” Lloyd bluntly stated. “Just like Nya's sanity for when she's entertaining parties.”

“No kidding.” Nya responded as she cringed.

“I guess you could say we learned we don't need all the fancy stuff. We just need each other.” Jay guessed.

“You want us to help you clean up?” Garmadon asked.

“Actually… I got a better idea.” Morro suggested.

~

Later that night…

The Ninjas, with the help of Lloyd, Kai, and Sensei Garmadon moved back into the old apartment.

“It's not much, but this one-bedroom, one-half-bath is a cozy dream.” Morro suggested. “After all, who needs extras when everything is in arm's reach?”

“You said it Morro.” Lloyd responded as he accidentally bumped into Jay with a chair, causing him to drop a box onto Kai's foot, who yelped in pain.

“Sorry!” Lloyd apologized.

“Well… at least we get to stay in Ninjago City for a little while.” Nya said.

“And now without the distractions, we can put all of our energy into training Morro.” Zane stated.

“Yeah, especially since I have some urgent news.” Kai replied.

“What is it, Kai?” Morro questioned.

“I don't know how to put this… but… but Lord Wu is leading the Serpentine.” Kai stated.

Everyone immediately gasped.

“That possibly explains why Skales tried to kidnap me.” Morro commented. “Speaking of which… where is he?”

“Let's just say I handled the situation by giving him a home, too. But it’s not quite as roomy as here.” Garmadon reassured.

~

Speaking of Skales…

Skales was in Kryptarium Prison…

Curled up in a ball…

Rocking back and forth…

With a catatonic expression on his face…

As he constantly mumbled about how frighteningly feral an Oni child can be.

~

“Anyways… Kai, you may continue.” Garmadon said.

“Well, like I said. Lord Wu's leading the Serpentine.” Kai continued. “But it get worse.” He stated. “Because he used the Golden Weapons on the Destiny's Bounty and rebuilt it for himself!

The Ninjas immediately gasped in horror at what they heard.

“Uncle Wu… rebuilt the Destiny's Bounty?” Lloyd asked.

“He calls it, the Dragon's Bounty.” Kai explained. “And he took off with the other Serpentine.”

“Why would he rebuild the Destiny's Bounty?” Nya asked.

“I'm afraid I know the answer.” A voice said.

It was Sensei Garmadon.

“I believe that my brother is heading to a place known as the Golden Peaks.” The Master of Destruction explained.

That made Lloyd look at his dad.

“Dad, isn't that where Grandpa made the Golden Weapons?” The Samurai asked.

“It is.” The Sensei asked.

“So… why he's heading there?” Jay asked.

And that was when everyone heard what the Sensei answered…

“To combine the Golden Weapons into one Mega Weapon.”

~

Elsewhere…

Lord Wu arrived at the Golden Peaks, and forged the four Golden Weapons over the intense heat, into one mysterious staff. With each section reminiscent of the four elements of creation.

It was the Mega Weapon.

And as Lord Wu touched it.

He immediately gasped and groaned in pain.

“Your eminence, are you okay?” A Venomari Scout asked.

“I'm… I'm fine.” Lord Wu chuckled. “In fact, I've never felt more powerful!” He stated as he got himself back up, as he looked as looked at the Mega Weapon. “Now, to destroy the Ninjas… ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!

And after he declared that.

The Master of Creation laughed with wickedness in his heart.

As the plans to stop his son Morro from becoming the Silver Ninja…

…has begun.
