In a world of potions and syringes, it's hard to keep one's spirits high, but seventh-year Ravenclaw student Octavia Black never tolerates dampened spirits for long.
Octavia loves rules.
Lives by them like gospel.
She makes others live by them too - especially her best friend and self-proclaimed soul sister, Valorie Whitehorn. These rules are simple.
Rule one: No sadness allowed.
Rule two: You think it, you do it. No hesitation.
Rule three: Live loudly, wildly, and do everything at least once.
See? Simple, easy rules.
They were easy enough to follow.
Until she met Mattheo Riddle.
The rules never mentioned anything about falling in love.
So I suppose, on a technicality, she isn't breaking them.
