Summary
In Barty’s defense, this was not what Pandora told him would happen. Yes, he signed up to be the guinea pig (as usual), and yes, he’d done this for years… so according to all logic, he should have remembered that her experiments rarely went according to plan. She was brilliant, of course, but in the experimental “let’s add a dash of this” mad scientist way. And when you start adding random shit to the potion, things happen. Not always good things.
Or: Barty has a problem with paying attention when Dora starts to sound like a Potions lecture.
