Chapter Text

Tears fell from everyone in class 3‑E as they all watched the person who believed in them most disappear into the sky like a thousand fireflies.

“Happy Birthday, Koro‑sensei, you're finally with her,” Nagisa whispered under his tears.

For a long moment, no one moved.

The night air felt too still, too fragile, as if the world itself was holding its breath with them.

The glow of those fading lights lingered in their eyes, soft and aching — a reminder of everything they had gained, and everything just lost.

Slowly, the weight of the moment settled.

The grief didn’t vanish, but it shifted — becoming quieter, deeper, something they could hold without breaking.

And with that quiet, the class finally began to move again.

The next day, Bitch‑sensei and Karasuma‑sensei stood before the class.

Their expressions weren’t sharp or commanding like usual.

Instead, there was a seriousness in their eyes — not cold, not distant, but steady. Understanding.

The kind of seriousness that came from people who had lost someone, too, and were trying their best to guide the ones left behind.

“Listen up,” Karasuma‑sensei said sharply. “As per your agreement, you all will receive 10 billion yen. While I know as of now you all don’t care about the money, as of this moment. I do believe Irina, and I have something you all will care about.”

As Karasuma finished speaking, he brought out a huge box filled with books, almost triple the size of a dictionary.

“These were all left behind by Koro‑sensei. Each contains pictures of your time here together in 3‑E, as well as a couple of personalized notes for each of you.”

That got the class’s attention. Karasuma-sensei slowly called each student to the front to retrieve their book.

Once everyone had received one, they all started looking through it, causing half the class to start crying all over again.

But it was the final note from their teacher that surprised them the most.

The classroom fell into a heavy silence as the last line of Koro‑sensei’s message settled over them.

Nobody spoke. Nobody even breathed too loudly. It was as if the weight of his final assignment pressed gently on each of their shoulders — not crushing, but guiding. A reminder that even in death, he was still leading them forward.

Nagisa closed the book slowly, fingers trembling just a little.

Karma wiped his eyes with the back of his hand, pretending he wasn’t wiping tears.

Kayano held her book to her chest like it was something fragile and irreplaceable.

They had already lost their teacher.

But now, for the first time since that night, something new flickered beneath the grief.

A challenge.

Karasuma‑sensei watched them carefully, his expression softening.

“This wasn’t an order,” he said quietly. “It was a wish. One he believed you could fulfill.”

Bitch‑sensei nodded, her voice gentler than usual.

“And knowing him… he chose UA for a reason. He always saw potential where others didn’t.”

The class exchanged looks — uncertain, emotional, but slowly sharpening with determination.

Nagisa took a breath.

“So… we’re really doing this?”

Karma smirked, though his eyes were still red.

“Of course we are. It’s his last assignment. We can’t exactly fail it.”

A few students laughed weakly. Others nodded.

And just like that, the room shifted — grief giving way to resolve.

Karasuma stepped forward, placing a stack of pamphlets and printed maps on the desk.

“UA’s entrance exam is in two weeks. Written test, physical test, and a practical exam. Though your previous training should be enough to get you in. We want to make sure you excel.”

The class straightened, instinctively slipping back into the mindset Koro‑sensei had trained into them:

observe, adapt, overcome.

Bitch‑sensei leaned against the desk with a small smile.

“But don’t worry. We’ll help you get ready. Koro‑sensei may be gone… but you’re not alone in this, both Karasuma and I will be here to help you even after you graduate and move on to UA.”

For the first time since the night sky lit up with a thousand fireflies, Class 3‑E felt something warm rise in their chests.

Resolve.

Nagisa looked down at the book in his hands — at the photos, the memories, the handwritten notes meant just for him — and whispered:

“We’ll make you proud, Koro‑sensei.”

And with that, the path ahead of them became clear.

UA awaited to be overruled by a class of assassins.

Notes:

Dear Class 3-E, If you are reading this, it means you all have graduated, and to that I congratulate you all. Though I am no longer there, I’m sure you all know how proud I am of you. Now I have one final assignment for you all, and I know you will pass it with flying colors. I want you all to apply to a high school in Musutafu — it’s called UA. It’s supposed to be the best of the best ‘hero’ school in all of Japan. But they have one major downfall: they focus more on their reputation than on the well-being of their students. They discriminate against a person based on their ‘Quirks.’ And you all know how much I hate that. Now for your assignment. I want you all to apply to UA and... DOMINATE THEM. Show them what a class of assassins can do against their flashy quirks.

It's short I knoww I just needed to get started the chapters after this will be longer.
