Summary
Kocho Shinobu was nothing like Kanae at her core, no matter how much she tried. Her smiles were always laced with fake sweetness, her kind words didn't come from her heart like Kanae's did. She was desperately trying to cling onto whatever she had left of her late sister's legacy—though it felt as though it were slipping through her fingers more and more each day.
Nobody had noticed, none of the butterfly girls she cared for, and certainly none of the other pillars—well.. That wasn't exactly true, none of the pillars, except for one.
Tomioka Giyuu, the water pillar, was frustratingly perspective when he wanted to be. Which apparently he only wanted to be when Shinobu was involved, he had told her on multiple accounts that her natural smile was much more pleasant to look at than her usual practiced one. She denied these claims quickly, though her face unexplainably heating up each time.

Shinobu accepts she does indeed hold a few particular feelings for the water pillar.
