The air was thick with tension when Megumi and you finished your mission. You guys were sitting down on the concrete , trying to catch your breaths from the intense fighting you had just partook in. The curse was around grade 2 so it was a little tough, but you were able to kill it, thankfully. However when you were fighting, you had made a dangerous decision and decided to try and help megumi instead of running away like he told you to. The curse almost made a wound in you so deep that you’d die from blood loss, luckily megumi swooped in to grab you with Nue and then you guys finished off the curse. You knew it was probably stupid to do that but you couldn’t help it, you needed to join in!! But you could tell Megumi was still pissed at you because of what you did. He looked at you and got closer with a scowl on his face.
“You could’ve died (Y/N) !?”
“I know but I didn't!!”
“You can't just risk your life like that! It's not just a game!!!”
“I know that , Megumi!!! I'm not stupid! I was just trying to help!!”
“Well it would’ve been way more helpful if you had just listened to me!! Do you know how worried I was!!”
“Why do you even care so much!! “
“Because I love you (Y/N)!!??”
Before you could even say anything he captured your lips in a soft kiss. Your eyes widened in shock but closed immediately as you started to melt into the kiss.. His hands came up to hold your face as he deepened it. He kissed you as if he was afraid you’d slip away, as if he was pouring all his emotions into it, anger, relief, love,--everything he had.
He slowly pulled away and you just both looked into each other's eyes, his hands still cradled your face , looking at you with the uttermost affection..
“ I- I love you too , Megumi” you whispered to him before leaning back in for another kiss.
At that moment you both realized that you both had forgotten all about what happened and you just wanted to be close to one another
