   Summary

   The Hail Mary would only give it's crew their methods of execution after the mission had been completed and the Beetles sent to earth. A precaution. Meant to ensure they would die only after the mission was complete.

   The Beetles left for Earth over a year ago. The ship's mission, as defined in it's programming, was completed. I had considering trying to reprogram it for considering the mission done after we had reached Erid, but the risks of breaking something was deemed too high.
