Work Text:
Megatron leaned against a giant oak tree on the edge of the forest. A cliff lay out in front of them overhanging the river.
It was a warm summer night. Crickets chirped around them while the cicadas sang. An owl hooted somewhere deep in the forest.
Megatron had optics only for his Prime.
Optimus lay on his back with his head in his lap, staring at the stars overhead. Elita-One leaned against Megatron, asleep. She'd never been the dreamer their Prime was. Always practical. He loved her for it all the same.
He wouldn't trade this for anything.
Not ever.
