Summary
After hearing a loud crash in the locker room, Ilya finds Shane injured and disoriented, braced against the lockers with a head wound after being deliberately attacked by a teammate jealous of his position and resentful of the attention his family and identity bring him. Ilya immediately stabilizes him, gets him medical attention on-site, and takes control of the situation with quiet intensity. Once Shane is safe, Ilya brings him home, staying close and protective as Shane recovers from both the physical injury and the betrayal from within his own team.
