“Move in with me.”
A flutter of eyelashes and his eyes are open. The first thing he sees are big blue eyes that reflected the light from the sun that leaks through the curtains. His lethargic mind wakes up a bit after his body, the memories of last night coming up together: loud western music he didn’t quite get, a room full of people, the taste of booze on his tongue and bright blue eyes staring at him from the other side of the room.
“What?” Miyuki asked, voice coming out horse. He did hear what the other said but needed to make sure it wasn’t just his mind playing with him.
“Move-in-with-me.” Mei looks at him with those pretty big blue eyes that caught his attention, chapped lips giving emphasis to each syllable.
Miyuki feels thankful for at least remembering his name. The last thing he needs was to fuck someone whose name he didn’t even know just after having his heart broken the previous night. He worked hard to get rid of his slutty reputation in order to court Chris, just to have his senpai rejecting him.
Chris-senpai… is probably on his flight now. Miyuki blinks, slowly rising from the bed, supporting his weight on his hands as he straightens his spine. The sheets slides down his body as he moves and Miyuki realizes ―too late― that Mei didn’t use a condom when he feels something dripping down his thighs.
“Did you come inside?”
“You asked me though, to fuck you raw.” Mei licks his lips, snuggling against the pillow, the edges of his mouth curving up. “You asked me to do a bunch of things.”
Fill me, please.
Furrowing his brown, Miyuki picks up his clothes, ignoring the sudden voice on his head, the cramps on his hips and the heavy gaze on his body as he moves around the room. The place was totally strange to him, yet he moved around smoothly, as if he have been there before. He finds his underwear at the bathroom’s floor, suddenly remembering they first did it there before heading towards the bed. How they managed to fuck in such a dangerous place when he barely could stand up, he couldn’t tell.
“Kazuya.”
“Don’t call me by my first name. How do you even know it?” Miyuki groans, getting on his pants as Mei laughs. His laugh is shrill, makes him wrinkle his nose. He didn’t sound like that last night, or maybe he did but the music was too loud?
What did he say? Miyuki wonders, not sure how he agreed to go with such a flashy guy. He remembers reaching Chris’ place with Kuramochi, meeting some friends, taking a couple of shots to get confidence and asking Chris to talk in private. He remembers his own trembling voice as he spoke, sweaty hands rubbing his jeans, Chris’ warm eyes over him as he silently heard his clumsy confession.
He can’t recall the exact answer, or maybe it was his mind trying to block a dangerous memory? If he fucked a random guy, that means it had been negative.
Not like it was a surprise. Miyuki knew, deep down, that Chris wasn’t the kind of person who would give up on his dreams over some guy crushing on him.
“Move in with me.”
Miyuki throws a glance at Mei over his shoulder before snorting, shaking his head.
“What’s with you? We meet less than 24 hours ago.” And it was literal. They knew each other for less than a day. “I can’t even remember how I ended up here.”
Pushing away the sheets and crawling towards the edge of the bed, Mei looks up at Miyuki.
“Didn’t you feel it?” He asks, big blue eyes looking up at Miyuki through thick blond eyelashes. He looks like a child who found the prettiest seashell buried on the sand and wants to brag about it with everyone. “There were a lot of people on that place and yet I couldn’t keep my eyes off you: how you wandered around the table, the way you held a cigarette, your eyes after couple of drinks, how you shoved your hands on your pockets, the way you looked at Chris…” Mei breathes in, closing his eyes. “And then our eyes met and I just knew: We are meant to be.”
Miyuki stares down at him, wanting to laugh at such childish word and yet, something warm twist on the pit of his stomach. He suddenly feels the urge to kiss him rough and deep, probably messing with him for a while before leaving.
He wants but-
“I can’t.” Miyuki mouths, shoving his hands inside his pockets as he pulled a face. It’s even hard to love himself at the moment. And he wasn’t bitter enough to drag Mei ―or anyone― down with him into the dark waters where he was currently dwelling. “If you want something more than a random hook up… I can’t give that to you.”
“I know.” Mei confess, getting on his feet and approaching Miyuki. “You can’t love me right now. Who cares?” He laughs, a smile across his face, his eyes glistening as his hand reaches Miyuki’s. “I’ll make you love me.” He brings Miyuki’s hand to his mouth, his lips caressing the back of his hand. “In the future, you will be head over heels for me.”
Eyes stinging because of the lack of light –that’s what Miyuki tells himself—he manages to give a weak, breathless laugher as Miyuki remembers.
‘What’s your name?’
‘Why do you wanna know?’
Blue eyes looked at him, piercing, the kind of eyes that looked maybe too into the future.
‘I need to know, the name of the person who is going to fall in love with me.”
“Good luck” Miyuki mounths.
