Summary
A few months into his trade with the Giants, and Satoru’s a lot more comfortable with the rest of the team than he used to be. He’s on friendly terms with all the position players, but he spends most of his time with the pitching staff, as expected.
He’s closest with one Sawamura Eijun, a lefty with a nasty breaking ball and a strange pitching form that makes Satoru’s joints hurt each time he watches him throw, and his apparent rival. Satoru doesn’t really get it - they both pitch for the same team, after all, they aren’t really competing for anything, but Eijun is very insistent.
Eijun’s insistent about a lot of things, actually, which is how Satoru finds himself trying to figure out how to turn down an invitation to a post-game drinking party that Eijun is trying to talk him into going.
