After having solved the issue of Astrophage, Eridian scientists pick up on an anomaly orbiting a nearby planet. Fearing the worst has returned, they send the two most venerated members of their society, Rocky and Doctor Ryland Grace.
What greets them upon arrival is not a second coming of the star killing cell, but instead something far more mysterious that may change the trajectory of the known universe for good.
