“You know,” those words snapped him back to focus on Astro, “the stars we see at night? Most of them are already pretty much gone by the time we get to see them. They just don’t reach us in time by the time they’ve died; only years after they’ve already passed do we finally catch even a glimpse of them.” That was, to say the least, not a sentence he expected from Astro, of all people.
