Summary
When Claire falls through the stones at Craigh na Dun, she is not a happily married woman desperate to reunite with her husband. Frank Randall has been MIA, presumed dead, these past three years. Unwilling to call herself a widow, unable to grieve, and untethered from the life she once expected, Claire is drawn into the world of the Highland clans and the growing unrest surrounding the Jacobite Rising.
Claire finds an unexpected companion in Jamie Fraser. Their relationship unfolds gradually, shaped by trust earned in stolen moments, shared hardships, and the looming threat of war.
As Scotland edges closer to rebellion, Claire and Jamie must navigate political intrigue, divided loyalties, and the ghosts of the lives they left behind. Together, they forge a bond neither of them anticipated — one built not on destiny at first sight, but on resilience, choice, and a love strong enough to face battles that history records as already lost.
Story will be set entirely in Scotland and will cover The Rising (no Paris, no America, no 20-year gap).
