Summary
Chris Redfield knows that the only reason he hasn't been fired yet is because he's protected by Captain Wesker. He's always followed his own code, and Wesker has always let him get away with it. It doesn't have anything to do with what the two of them get up to where nobody else can see. Probably.
Leon S. Kennedy is fresh from the police academy and wants nothing more than to prove himself. His first task isn't one he can turn down because it came from Chief Irons himself: watch Chris and report on anything that could give Irons a real reason to fire him. As much as he wants to believe in RPD, things get harder when he becomes enmeshed in the station's politics. It doesn't help that Chris seems to be hiding something. Or that Leon can't stop staring at him.
Set before the events of Resident Evil 1.
