Hello friends!

I have been in quite the writer's block with Marco Bodt's Renaissance. I have the next few chapters planned out, but sitting down and actually writing them has been a struggle, to say the least. However, when I can't seem to bring myself to work on Marco Bodt's Renaissance, I often find myself exploring oneshots and scenes - all of the JeanMarco variety - and I felt as though you might all enjoy those as much as I enjoy writing them. They're always on my mind; I think I have a problem lol

So here they are! All of my little ideas that I never quite committed to. Some of these are years old, while others are scenes I whipped up within the last few months. Fair warning, my writing style will probably be a little different from oneshot to oneshot because of this.

If you find any of them interesting enough to warrant an entire story, or even just another chapter, let me know!! Marco Bodt's Renaissance is my top priority, but maybe this will help to influence my next long-form story 👀

Beyond the world of the living lies the Paths, a realm connecting every Subject of Ymir across time and space. But the Paths hold more than memories, wills, and the power of the Titans. They are a vast tree of infinite possibilities, where every Subject of Ymir has their own branch, and every branch contains the countless lives they might have lived.

Jean's life follows the path he knows: Marco dies at Trost, and Jean is left to carry the weight of losing him.

Until a mysterious higher power draws Jean into the Paths and offers him the chance to follow another branch.

In every oneshot, Jean finds himself in a different life, a different world, and a different version of Marco. Some lives may be familiar. Others may be completely unrecognizable. But in every one, Jean is given the chance to meet Marco again, and discover what might have been.

Jean has tried everything he could think of to gain Marco’s trust, but with soldiers eying their every move, it’s hard to convince Marco that he was once one of them. So, Jean decides to take matters into his own hands and brings Marco somewhere where they won’t be watched. On this trip, Marco begins to remember more and more about his past life, and the two friends quickly remember the connection they once shared.

In which Marco Bodt is captured instead of killed, and years later returns as a loyal Marleyan soldier. He no longer remembers the boy he used to be, or the friends he left behind, especially the one who never forgot him.

He decides there's only one thing left to do: steal Marco away for a slow dance beneath the warm glow of the flower shop lights, surrounded by blooms that refuse to stop growing.

In which Jean finds himself in an alternate world where Marco never died, only to discover that even kinder worlds can still leave scars. After finding Marco bruised and shaken at his family's flower shop, Jean does the only thing he can think of to help. He asks him to dance.
