It's okay. All of it is okay. Robert has survived worse. For fucks sake, its okay. He punctured his lung just months ago. Get up. He survived broken bones. He survived multiple explosions. He survived getting shot. Get up. He survived his dad’s death. It's okay. GET. UP. Despite his mantra, his body doesn't want to cooperate. His arms curl around himself, shrinking more into the corner of the bathroom he’s huddled in. He’s home. He’s safe. God damn it, he’s safe. The worst of it is over. He’s Mecha Man. People rely on him. He can’t let one bad night destroy him. It’s far past the time he should be out on patrol. He needs to get up. His ears are ringing and the next thing he hears is an animalistic scream. Guttural and painful. His breaths are coming out in pants and his vision is getting dark around the edges. The last thing he registers, with mild amusement is, “Oh. I’m the one screaming.” His world goes dark a second later.
