It wasn’t different from any other day in Italy. Izumi and Leo living together in their shared apartment. They had been boyfriends for almost a year now. They would wake up and sleep next to each other and have fights like any other couple. They were really used to living together at this point. Nothing could set them apart they thought. But no one can see the future, right?
One morning Leo had woken up alone again since Izumi went to work early. It annoyed Leo a lot but he didn’t want to bother Izumi by complaining. He quickly got up and walked to the kitchen before anything else. Starting the morning with a coffee was his favourite thing ever. He smiled to himself as he remembered how cute Izumi was last night. He continued to smile as he walked back to their bedroom to take his phone while the coffee machine made his coffee. He quickly unlocked his phone and pressed the call button next to the name “Sena❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️” in his contacts. It ringed twice before he heard the familiar voice through the phone.
”Morning, Leo. Sorry for leaving early, how are you?” Izumi asked calmly.
“Senaaa! I’m alright but let me know when you are going to leave early, okay? I hate starting the day with a disappointment of not seeing you next to me when I wake up!” Leo said loudly with an energetic but angry voice.
”Be quiet, someone else can hear! I said I’m sorry, okay? I’m busy I will call you later.” He said angrily before hanging up the phone without giving Leo any chance to say bye.
Leo let out a noise of anger as he put down his phone but didn’t try to call Izumi back. Izumi was always busy anyway. So busy that he couldn’t talk with his boyfriend.
Later that day, the sun was finally setting when Izumi came back home. Leo had spent hours trying to get some inspiration in his new music and then got bored so decided to stay at home and sleep to pass the time until Izumi came back. Izumi unlocked the door and stepped inside and the first thing he did was to look around to see if Leo was there and he was. Leo was sleeping on the couch peacefully. Izumi smiled and quietly walked next to him. His smile faded slightly as he remembered how he ended their call earlier today and told him that he will call back later when he never did. He kissed Leo’s cheek carefully to not wake him up and quietly left him alone to sleep.
Most of their time passed similar like that but maybe that was just the calm before storm. Who knows.
