Summary
Kat didn't think anything could ruin her senior year. She was so close to being done; it was nearly painful to wait. When her father leaves on a week-long trip to visit his sister, Kat is left to enjoy the feelings of independence his departure brings. Though she knows she needs to keep her guard up, as a certain leader of the Ghostly Trio has his sights on her for possession. She's eighteen, and in Stretch's book, that means he should get to take her body for a "drive." The stubborn ghost and even more stubborn woman have been waging their own private little war for months, only for something to stir from the dark that neither is prepared for. With a Shadow King breathing down her neck, and a Witch knocking on her door, Kat is suddenly faced with a very important decision: Either let Stretch in to possess her or be forced to leave her mortal life behind. For some reason, neither choice seems wise. With Stretch moving closer and shadows trying to pull her away, Kat must figure out how to defend herself, both from the ghost she might love and the Shadow King who terrifies her.
