"Don't follow me anymore Ness, find a new king."
That was it. Kaiser didn't want anything more to do with him. He'd reaped all the fruits Alexis had to offer and now he was leaving him? Would Alexis just let him do that? Not in a million years.
In the cold hallway made of metal and the crushed dreams of past strikers who were forced to walk out, no matter their past, skill or will, Ness stood behind Kaiser. No longer looking up at him as he did nearly 4 years ago.
"My ego wants me to cast a spell on your broken self."
Ness couldn't blame the damned Yoichi Isagi anymore. Kaiser had told him straight to his face in those long, grueling 15 minutes that didn't move fast enough. Ness couldn't help him evolve anymore, he'd only hold him back from what he could truly achieve, keeping him in the safe and shallow end.
Kaiser decided to admit defeat now was better than getting humiliated in the long run. So Ness would change. Kaiser needed someone better? He'd become it, he would now make himself equal to Kaiser, he'd be the one to help him evolve again.
Just as they did so long ago.
Ness could still picture him. The long blonde hair resembling a lions mane, flowing freely in the light breeze, shielding his own face from the sun as Kaiser reached out to him. The piercing blue eyes that seemed to glow in the shadow, at the time so sure of Ness' abilities and strengths. And his tattoo, everso magical.
"Get up. Let's do this, loser."
That's where their journey began. The Bastard München youth tryouts, truthfully the honeymoon phase of their blossoming relationship. That's where most of the positive memories with Kaiser came from. Ness could name a few to start, he'd memorized them and still clung to them.
After they both passed the tryouts, they sat down to eat in the cafeteria. The lunch servings came with a carton of milk. "Standard" Ness thought. His parents always made him drink milk, then started rambling about all the different vitamins, mineral and whatever scientists study. Ness never bothered to listen.
"Why aren't you drinking your milk?"
"You have it. I hate white coloured beverages."
Ness didn't question why. He thought it was silly, he'd just smile while eating and put the carton on his tray. Ever since then he'd made sure never to give milk to Kaiser.
Then another time. The alarm rang through their shared bedroom.
Bzzt! Bzzt! Bzzt!
The three buzzer sounds woke Ness up instantly, surely they'd awaken Kaiser. Ness hurried to his morning routine. Shower, deodorants, brush teeth and get dressed. Kaiser was probably getting up soon... Ness ate his breakfast and came back to the room to check on Kaiser.... WHO WAS STILL ASLEEP?
Ness looked at Kaiser for a bit... He really was beautiful. Was Ness staring? He quickly looked away, then at the clock... 7:45. They were 15 minutes late for training! Ness immediately started shaking Kaiser, yelling :
"Wake up! Wake up, you idiot we're late!"
Approximately another 10 minutes later, Kaiser and Ness finally showed up to practice. The coach, an old man with whitened hair immediately started questioning them.
"Why were yous two bastards late?! Ya think because ya passed the tryouts yer set for life?! Where the hell have ya been?!!"
"It's Ness' fault. He wasn't waking up."
"Huh?!"
Ness was surprised. Immediately setting the blame on him? Who would believe Kaiser when he had that atrocious bed hair. Coach said they had to stay behind and run laps after training was done.
After two hours of training and an additional hour and forty-five minutes of running, Kaiser and Ness were basically bathing in their own sweat.
They desperately were in need of a shower.
During said shower Michael had put shampoo in his eyes.
"Oi, loser, small fry, puppy!"- Kaiser called out
" Where are you coming up with these nicknames?!"
"I don't know, you look like a puppy. All doe-eyed, you look like those curly haired dogs."
"A poodle?"
"Yeah something like that mixed with a golden retriever."
"I'm more of a cat person, actually my favourite animal is a Japanese flying squirr-"
"Didn't ask, wash this shampoo off my face. It's starting to burn."
Ness was appalled. "Wash it yourself! You're not a child, and I don't want to see you naked."
Kaiser scoffed. "I can barely open my eyes, you expect me to wash it myself? Stop making it weird. We're both guys."
"Fine come here." Ness was a bit nervous. Kaiser was really beautiful. . . And Ness couldn't admit it but the single time he saw Kaiser take his shirt off after practice his heart fluttered just for a beat.
After showering and getting dressed (separately.) Kaiser had asked Ness to cut and dye his hair.
"You're sure you know what you're doing?"
"Yes, I cut my hair myself."
"That doesn't make me more secure in you."
"Very funny. "
A moment of silence.
"Hey, Alexis." The world as Alexis Ness knew it was about to change.
"I used to be a very weak person."
"huh?"
" Everyday, I used to face new hardship which I thought were impossible. So I vowed never to fall into that mindset again. That's why I got a blue rose tattoo."
"Explain."
"A blue rose symbolizes the achievement of the impossible. It's artificially created, an impossible turned into reality. . "
"I see."
"When I first saw it, I decided to become some one indefinable by the impossible. A symbol of defiance. A sign of defying the natural order of things."
In that moment,
"I'll win the champions league and the world cup and then, I want to cast down the rest of the football world into despair."
Ness felt happy. Excited. And for a moment. . . Kaiser's dream became his own. To make Kaiser the best striker in the world.
"Is it done?"
" Huh?" Ness snapped back "My hair. Is it dyed?"
"Oh, yes Kaiser."
3 years passed. They'd graduated from the youth academy. Michael's dream, and his was in motion. They'd won every single game they'd played in. Kaiser was getting recognition for everything. His skill and his looks. His personality was a different story, fans agreed to look past that. Making an idealised version of him in their heads. And Ness? Ness got recognised sure. But only for his devotion to Kaiser. He didn't mind. He was happy, being a contributor in the impossible.
Kaiser and Ness' relationship had bloomed from a simple rose bud. It had flourished into a beautiful fully bloomed rose. It was at it's peak. The ripest and unafraid of boundaries.
They were not only friends. Closer but not in a romantic relationship. Kaiser would never admit he'd care for Ness in any manner other than using him to improve himself. Maybe even to pleasure himself. Just like now. Ness was on his knees. Disgusting slurping sounds filled Kaisers pent house.
"Slower- fuck. suck less, lick more!"
Kaiser groaned. Was Ness doing good? He liked how Kaiser was pulling on his hair. Ness pulled back a bit and slowly, started licking the tip. Looking up at Kaiser as if to say 'Like this?'
Kaiser pulled Ness (and his mouth) off his dick, making Ness gasp in the process.
"Stupid idiot. . . "
Kaiser basically shoved his tongue in Ness' mouth.Their teeth slightly clanking together once, but ultimately a passionate burning kiss.
