Simple
Eddie takes Buck by the hand, intertwining their fingers as his others reach down to clasp around Buck's hip.
"Well hello there," Buck coos, his lip quirking up into a flirty smile. His voice is still rough and groggy from sleep.
"Good morning amor," Eddie replies, pressing a gentle kiss to his partners lips. "Sleep well?"
Buck reaches up his free hand to land on Eddie's shoulder. "I'd say so."
"That's good," Eddie hums, swaying them both. "Alexa? Play slow wake up music please."
Buck watches the device as its ring lights up and loads, right before playing the melodies.
"I can't believe it's already been a year," he murmurs, his eyes drifting up to the fridge, landing on their wedding photos.
"Me neither," Eddie beams, pulling him closer. "But then again..."
Buck turns to him and raises an eyebrow, waiting.
Eddie shrugs. "It's so... simple, you and I."
Buck laughs, shaking his head. "I beg to differ," he wheezes.
"No, wait," Eddie chuckles, rushing to defend himself. "I get that that is a bit ridiculous to say, I hear it. But like, the idea of us. It's simple."
Buck hums, his cheeks rosy with happiness. "I guess that's true. We should've seen it sooner."
"Way sooner," Eddie whispers, pressing another kiss to Buck's lips.
Buck tilts his head down, out of it. "Probably should've been the first moment I laid eyes on you."
Eddie snickers, capturing his lips again. "We got here in the end."
Buck grins, admiration shining in his eyes.
"Yeah, we did."
