Skateboard never learned how to cope properly. He grew up surrounded by violence, blood, and hatred. That’s all he knew, and that’s all he learned. Boombox was the only person who taught him how to be gentle, kind, and soft. She taught her everything he knew about being a good person. She’s the only person he trusted. She kissed his scars with such gentleness it scared him at times.
