“Ah, thank you, Yamaguchi-san!”
Noya smirked to himself as he got the rose cake pops from Yamaguchi. “And thanks for the bouquet-like bundle, too,” he said while looking at the flowers. The other boy handed it to him delicately, making sure that the fondant didn’t crumble at the seams.
“No problem! Are you ready to confess?”
Noya nodded confidently at Yamaguchi. “I mean, duh! I’ve been waiting for this moment!"
“Alright. Good luck, Noya-san! I’ll go see Tsukki now.” Noya nodded before the two went their separate ways. He pulled out his phone to see if Asahi made it to the venue he chose for them.

He smiled before concentrating on the confession. He ran through what he remembered and pulled out the paper he wrote it on. It goes as follows…
…
Where is the paper.
Noya shuffled in his pockets after putting down the flowers with little to no care. He looked through all of his papers to no avail, finding no confession letter at all. Did he drop it somewhere!? He started to panic as he tried to recall what Tanaka had helped him make, but he can’t really remember stuff that well.
God, he’s fucked. He sucked it up and started walking over to the venue, trying to make something up on the way. The flowers were set aside somewhere Asahi wouldn’t see, and he turned the corner to him.
All that he made up on the spot vanished as soon as he saw him.
He was wearing a light red vest with a cream colored shirt, along with his winter gloves and scarf. He was looking around, waiting for Noya to appear. The boy lost a lot of the confidence that he had earlier, which was now replaced with nervousness, fear, and a forgotten script. He gulped before calling Asahi’s attention, who noticed and walked over to the shorter boy in the pink sweater.
“Oh, Noya-san! What did you wanna say to me?” Asahi looked a little nervous himself, though not as much as Noya. He was sweating as if it wasn’t winter right now, but he had to pull through — it’s time.
“O-oh, uh...” His voice shook as he stepped back a little. “I… I’ve been thinking about you a lot ever since you, y'know, left Karasuno….” He fidgeted for a bit, looking at Asahi’s confused expression. “Like, every time I uh… volleyball.” He muttered, trying to improv something. Wait, volleyball?
He facepalmed at that before correcting himself. “I-I MEAN SET! A VOLLEYBALL! Sorry.” Asahi stepped back in surprise at Noya’s outburst. The third-year watched him take a deep breath before continuing, “And I realized way later than I should’ve... I...”
He choked. He couldn't get himself to say the final three words. “I…” He continued to struggle saying it, and Asahi looked at him in further confusion. How did he crumble so fast compared to how he was acting earlier!? He underestimated the nervousness he’d feel when confessing. His feelings continued to build up inside him for a bit, and the two just stood in silence for a bit.
“I—”
“I LIKE YOU! LIKE, LIKE LIKE!!!”
He screamed it out so loud that Asahi took ANOTHER step back in surprise. The words echoed in his ears as Noya jumped up to say it to his face. He calmed down and looked down on the floor before speaking up again.
“And you probably don’t like me back, so uh… I got this off of my chest… and..”
Asahi started laughing silently, and Noya looked up at him, annoyed. “HEY! WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING!” He didn't make eye contact yet, but he did face him.
Asahi just continued laughing a little, and Noya, forgetting the crazy moment he just had, ran up to Asahi and jumped at him, placing both of his hands on his shoulders and jumping up and down to look at him on the same level.
“Hey! I just—
professed my love—
to you!! What’s so—
funny??” He shouted in-between hops.
“Hey! Listen to me! Asahi-san!”
Asahi just laughed like that for a bit, gradually stopping before looking at Noya, who by now just watched for a minute, confused.
“I’m glad you told me, Noya… I.. um…” Asahi grew a little embarrassed and looked away for a bit. “…Would love to be with you.”
Noya looked up at him for a moment, and they just stood there silently before Noya remembered something. “Ah, wait!”
He pulled out the bouquet of fondant flowers made by Yamaguchi, which by now were partially crumbled yet still nice-looking enough. He handed it over to Asahi, but not without grabbing one and eating it himself.
“Those are edible?”
“Yamaguchi made them,” Noya answered with a full mouth.
They ate the flowers for a bit, enjoying each other's company. The two leaned on the gate while looking out at the horizon.
“Is this why you invited me to the Karasuno gate?” Asahi asked, looking at Noya.
“Maybe.”
“Well… again, I’m glad you did.” Noya blushed at that.
After they finished up their fondant flowers, they hugged and went their separate ways, heading home.
“Hey, Asahi?” Noya suddenly spoke up.
“Huh?” Asahi replied.
“I love you.”
“Love you too.”
