Dangerously Yours

Summary:

Some loves are safe... his is dangerous.

After years abroad, Narin returns to Thailand, enrolling in Communication Arts at Bangkok University, hoping for nothing more than a quiet, fresh start and a chance to heal from his past.

Until he meets Kawin.

Sharp, powerful, and untouchable, Kawin — a Law student feared across campus — moves through the university like he owns it. Always surrounded by his equally intimidating inner circle: Thanakorn, Phawin, and Aran. He belongs to a world built on power, loyalty, and unspoken rules.

People avoid them. Rumours follow them.

And for reasons Narin cannot understand, Kawin sets his sights on him... and refuses to look away.

Between crowded lecture halls, whispered secrets, and a dangerous attraction he cannot explain, Narin finds himself drawn into a world he never knew existed. A world where nothing is as it seems, and where his own oldest possession holds the key to everything.

"You can run... but you belong to me now. Danger and all."

💜 Obsession. Secrets. Forbidden attraction.

Chapter 1: A New Beginning That Didn't feel New

Chapter Text

The Opening

It had not even been two months since Narin Ratanaporn moved from the United States to Thailand. Yet, despite his name meaning “Crystal Blessing,” his life in America had been anything but a blessing.

He had been betrayed by the girl he loved with everything he had, and by the person he thought would always stand beside him. One day, he saw it with his own eyes: her, in the arm of his best friend, Roman.

"Damn it."

He had truly believed they were the two people he could trust the most in his life. His best friend. His girlfriend. The only people he had ever allowed himself to fully open up to.

And they both destroyed him.

Without hesitation.

Without guilt.

Without Mercy.

He will never forgive them.

So, when his father told him they were moving back to Thailand due to a business expansion. Narin did not feel sadness.

He felt relief.

For the first time in a long time, he could breathe without feeling like something inside him was breaking.

His father also mentioned that Thailand was his late mother’s homeland and her favourite place in the world. If she were still alive, she would have been the happiest person—running around like a child going to a funfair for the very first time.

And somehow, that thought made the return less painful.

Thailand — First Day at Bangkok University

The air in Thailand felt different from anything Narin remembered.

Heavy. Warm. Alive.

The feeling hit his skin the moment he stepped out of the airport, as if the country itself was silently watching his return.

“Stay close,” his father said, pulling his luggage ahead. “You start university tomorrow.”

University.

A fresh start.

That was what everyone kept saying.

But Narin had learned something long ago: Fresh starts did not erase the past at all.

They only taught people how to live with it.

The following morning came too quickly.

The University of Bangkok stood wide and imposing, filled with voices, movement and strangers who already looked like they belonged here.

Narin (Faculty of Communication Arts), however, did not.

He walked through the campus with quiet steps, his bag resting against his shoulder, his expression controlled but distant. He kept his head slightly lowered, eyes forward, careful not to draw too much attention – though it seemed impossible.

Whispers followed him almost immediately.

"Is he new?"

"He looks foreign..."

"He's kind of handsome..."

He ignored them. He had learned how to shut out the noise long ago.

Then something changed.

Not loudly.

Not obviously.

But unmistakably.

The atmosphere shifted, as if the air itself had tightened. Conversation lowered. Movements slowed. People subtly stepped aside, clearing a path before anyone even appeared.

And then came the name, spoken in hushed, reverent tones:

Kawin Wong is here."

But this time... He wasn't alone.

Narin did not know why he looked.

But he did.

And the moment he did — he understood.

Kawin Wong walked at the centre of the space, as the entire world had naturally shifted just to make space for him. Not rushed, not distracted, completely in control. He moved with a kind of dangerous grace, every step deliberate, every moment commanding attention.

On either side of him walked three others — just as composed, just as untouchable. Thanakorn, Phawin, and Aran. Together, they didn't just enter the campus. They owned it.

And the reaction was immediate.

The girls turned first.

Whispers spread like wildfire.

"Oh my god! It's them..."

"They're all here today..."

"Kawin looks so good..."

"Don't stare too much —you'll regret it..."

Some laughed nervously.

Some pretend not to look.

Some didn't even try to hide it.

A few girls actually froze — completely overwhelmed by their presence, eyes wide, cheeks flushed, as if just being near them was enough to make their hearts lose control.

But it wasn't just the girls.

Even some of the guys watched them a second too long.

Drawn in.

Curious.

Unwilling to admit it — but unable to look away.

Because they weren't just attractive, they were dangerously beautiful.

The one on Kawin's right wore a sharp, confident grin, the kind that can make people feel as if they were being studied, analysed, and understood before they even spoke. Girls whisper about him constantly — but none dared get too close. That was Thanakorn (Faculty of Law): clever, observant, quietly manipulative, enjoying every second of the attention and the fear.

On his left was someone with softer features, almost gentle-looking. The type that made people think he was harmless — until they noticed how quickly others stepped aside for him, how his smile never quite reached his eyes. That was Phawin (Faculty of Law): charming, unpredictable, the one who could make you trust him completely before you realised you were already trapped.

Behind them, the fourth moved with quite strength, his presence heavy, intimidating and impossible to ignore. Tall, broad, silent. The kind of person who didn't need attention... but got it anyway. Aran (Faculty of Law): loyal, solid, the shield and the weapon, handling everything with a look or a single word.

Four of them.

Different in appearance.

Identical in impact.

"They're like..." someone whispers nearby, voice barely steady, "the kings of this place."

Narin felt it then.

That Pull. The strange, unsettling attraction. That feeling that he was looking at something he should run far, far away from... but couldn't.

But still —

Kawin (Faculty of Law) stood out the most.

He didn't look at anyone. Not properly.

As if admiration meant nothing to him.

As if all those stares... all those whispers... all those racing hearts—

Were irrelevant.

Sharp features. Calm expression. Dark, unreadable eyes. Beautiful in a way that doesn't feel safe.

Not soft. Not warm.

Danger wrapped in perfection.

"Who are they?" Narin asked quietly, unable to look away.

The student beside him tensed.

"You don't know?" he whispered, eyes wide. "That's Kawin Wong... and his group. They are all part of the Faculty of Law ."

"What group?"

A pause. A heavy, meaningful silence.

Then—

"The kind you don't get involved with."

Narin frowned slightly, his gaze still fixed on the figure in the centre. "They don't look that bad."

The student let out a quiet, almost disbelieving laugh, shaking his head.

"That's exactly the problem."

Narin's gaze shifted back to Kawin.

And then — it happened.

Kawin stopped. Just slightly.

Like something had caught his attention.

Narin didn't realise he had stopped breathing, too.

Didn't realise he was staring at him.

Didn't realise — Until it was too late.

Kawin Wong was looking at him.

Their eyes met, just for a second.

But it felt longer. Heavier.

Like something was happening between them, without permission, without even realising. An incredible connection.

Around them, the noise returned.

Girls whispering.

Someone is gasping quietly.

One of Kawin's friends noticed – Thanakorn – his lips curling even higher, as he had just read the entire situation in a heartbeat. Phawin followed Kawin's gaze briefly, eyes glinting with quiet curiosity.

Then Kawin looked away.

It's like nothing had happened.

Like Narin didn't matter.

But Narin's heartbeat said otherwise. Because something about that look —

Didn't feel random.

And somewhere ahead, as Kawin continued walking, his expression shifted ever so slightly.

Barely noticeable.

But enough.

And neither of them knew it yet —

That moment had already begun everything.

Chapter 2: This is a bad idea.

Narin was still staring in the direction Kawin had disappeared.

Big mistake.

"OH, Hia eei / Shit... that was very scary!!"
