Rainbow Dash would laugh in your face if you asked her who she loves. Isn’t it obvious? She loves Scootaloo, who is like a little sister to her, and she loves her parents, however overwhelming they can be.
However if you asked Rainbow Dash who she loves the most in the world, there would be only one answer.
Twilight Sparkle, The Princess of Friendship, and the new Ruler of Equestria.
The two have been friends ever since Twilight first ever moved to Ponyville. In fact, Rainbow doesn’t know where she would be if not for the purple pony.

Rainbow has always admired that about Twilight; her selfless and compassionate self. Twilight has saved Equestria on multiple occasions, she has proved herself to be a compassionate and selfless leader. Without Twilight, Rainbow Dash wouldn’t be the pony she is today.
It’s only since Twilight moved to Ponyville, that Rainbow Dash has improved as a pony. Sure, she makes mistakes every now and again, but it’s Twilight Sparkle’s constant support and teachings that have helped Rainbow to better herself.
It’s not just what Twilight does for other ponies either. Rainbow purely loves her for her authentic self. Her little quirks, the way she flaps her wings when excited about her studies, and her passion for learning. Twilight is so caring and sweet!
And her voice, god her voice! Even if the subject that Twilight is rambling on about isn’t particularly interesting to Rainbow, she just loves to hear Twilights enthusiastic tone.
Besides,… she doesn’t look too bad either.
Twilights straight mane is a shade of dark indigo, with streaks of pink and purple. She has sparkling purple eyes, and soft looking eyelashes. Her smile is contagious and cute. The pony used to be slightly chubby, but since ascending to alicornhood, her body weight has distributed more towards her newfound height and rump. Her horn is long and curved, its indents spiralling down…
Rainbow Dash would like to drag her tongue across those grooves.
Anyways..
It’s not like Rainbow has a crush on The Princess!
Definitely not. I mean, who wants to kiss some eggheaded loser anyway?
But whatever. Even if Rainbow Dash did like Twilight Sparkle, there would be no guarantee that her feelings would be reciprocated. And she has a lot of royal duties to uphold now. Not to mention the fact that Twilight will live thousands of years after Rainbow’s eventual death. Yay.
It’s best to settle for some pony achievable, like… Twilight Sparkle.
