Summary
Hongjoong felt like he was drowning. Sometimes in the loneliness that swept him up like ocean waves, sometimes in the strange feelings he equated to the hues of the paints he contributed to the mural that introduced him to his friends. At first it was just him and Jongho, painting a retaining wall on campus because there was nothing better for them to do. But then another joined, followed by yet another, until eight boys spent their Saturdays laughing together covered in paint rather than going out to drink or party.
Hongjoong found a family, and he found someone to love him when Seonghwa joined their ragtag little group to teach them color theory since none of them were real artists prior to their mural and none of them could decide what colors represented when they meant something different to each of them.
A man for whom colors became the feeling that overwhelmed him, and a man who helped him understand that the brightest colors were never meant to be negative.
(Based on the song Saturday by Twenty One Pilots. Much Love Boyscouts.)
