Summary
“It's more than me.” He repeated louder.
Through aching gasps he pulled the floating jacket closer, patting the top with his hand as his breath became shaky. A lingering look on the box adorning the knife sheath, securely holding it fastened the vest. Then a short glance at the console at the front of the SM-13, he wrenched himself up.
“Simon.” A disjointed voice crawled through the sub, a choir of garbled whispers beneath it.
“Simon!! You can't run Simon!” They wailed louder, desperation more evident as the man stumbled towards the control panel.
“It's got a hold of you. You saw the horrors of it–” The monster cruelly bargained “ – and It stared back” They shrieked.
“Can’t you see this is mercy?!” The voices wailed, nothing but to lie and mess with him, Simon knew as much. Again the sub was flung the over direction from yet another contact.

Simon is taken in by an odd man that seems to be so far removed from reality he's claiming he's getting a biodome built on a planet.
Grace is stunned to be in the presence of another human being and is desperate to get on his good side. All while he learns to make a life for himself on Erid.
