Chapter Text
AN IMPORTANT NOTE:
This fic is a crackfic, meaning it’s supposed to be for laughs. Nothing in this is to be taken seriously. The butt of the joke is NOT being woke, activism clubs or anything of the sort but rather being homophobic. Please understand that none of the authors have anything against activism clubs and all of the authors are politically woke themselves. This work is FICTION. Being homophobic is not funny, and it is a serious matter. However, for pride month we decided to poke some fun at it due to how ridiculous we (the authors) find it as a concept. We are all allies or a part of the LGBTQ+ community here, we would never publish something that we think would demean anyone apart of it. However, if you or someone else takes offence, please let us know in the comments so we can address the situation accordingly and edit whatever material caused offence. To be real here: this is a note from pwarmii and I just wanted to say that all the authors are POC themselves and apart of the LGBTQ+ community, so we’ve done our best to make this work light hearted. This book was written due to a concept idea of Slenderman putting up posters in the forest, but rather than scary imagery it was activism quotes, a joke that we thought would be entertaining and thus this fic was born.
———————————————————————
The cold embrace of the moon wrapped around the forest's idle sway. The subtle, languid footsteps of Eduard could be heard against the damp leaves. His boots struck against the forest's engulfed grounds. Eduard had travelled to the forests in search of a certain activism group he had heard about from a certain friend after a heated argument with Ivan. He felt an odd chill run down his spine, a gentle melancholic sense of foreshadowing suddenly flooded his head. However, he pushed those thoughts aside immediately after spotting a poster. On it read a few words, but powerful words nevertheless.
"#WE LOVE WOMEN, YOU ARE VALID #WORLD PIECE ⦻."
Next to the letters was a symbol. It appeared to be a circle with a 'x' through it. To any ordinary folk; this may seem like nothing. However, if you looked a bit closer past the scrawled on letters and graphite smudges, you'd notice it was the proxy symbol. The proxies were a group of people who were political activists and stood for equality.
Eduard nodded at the poster, his lips twitching upwards in a soft smile of sorts. He knew he had to have been near, so he kept his idle pace as he crept through the sleeping forest. But unfortunately for the Baltic country, his peaceful walk was soon interrupted by a loud, ear-piercing howl followed by a hoarse bark dripping in belligerence. If he was nervous before, he was shit-scared now. His gaze flickered across the clearing, a cold sweat trailing down his pale neck. He swallowed a lump in his throat that he hadn't even noticed formed. Then the canine-like creature barked again. It was louder this time, as if it had gotten closer. Eduard was uneased, his glasses had fallen down his nose but he felt too vulnerable to shift his focus; and thus he ignored it. However it only served to irritate him further. Then-- with a swift, unfeeling leap the creature made itself known. Eduard couldn't exactly tell what he was looking at. The shadowy forest had drowned out most of its features but he could make out an unnerving, relentless smile which didn't dare to falter. He took another step back. Then the creature, as if having sensed his fear pounced towards him with a coarse growl.
Eduard was quick to run, his breathing ragged and steps careless. He didn't truthfully know where he was running to, but right now it was his only chance at survival. The forest's serene composure was interrupted by the chase- the blonde sprinting as fast as he could, fueled on his pure fear and adrenaline. But the creature followed loosely behind him, in fact in a rather belittling manner. It would catch up every now and then where it was so close that Eduard could feel its breath on the pool of his lower back, only to stop. As if it was a cruel game to the canine-like creature. This only ignited Eduard's devotion to move, to escape.
He ran as far as his body would take him, he turned his head around momentarily to check where the creature was; only to be met with a enthralled expression, perhaps happy? But it seemed to sinister to be happy, rather epicaricacy. The creature's pupils were blown out, it's long and filthy tongue hanging out the side of its jaws, catching the cold and callous winds. Eduard shivered, his head turning back to look in front of him, only to stop to a complete halt. In front of him stood a tall building. No- mansion. It looked straight out of a horror movie, it was a labyrinth of carved mahogany and gilded traceries. The mansion was elaborate and unsettling, however the gate was littered in posters. Ones which were filled with woke messaging. Eduard felt a sudden flood of relief drowning his senses.
The gate creaked open and when the creature had caught up, it too had halted to a stop; letting out a soft whimper. Seemingly upset. But Eduard could care less about the terrifying canoid who had just been chasing him down moments ago. He carefully stepped his way to the entrance of the mansion and hesitated, before he knocked. A secure, stable sound against the stained oak. To his surprise, it didn’t take long before the door had opened. A man answered the door. He was about five foot six and had fair, pasty skin. He was fairly scrawny and slim, his deep brown hair tussled and unkept. He wore a pair of orangey-yellow tinted steampunk style goggles, a dark hoodie and a striped long sleeve shirt underneath paired with dark cargos and black converse. His face was partially obscured by the striped mouth guard, mutilated hands covered by thick black cloth.
“Can I help you?"
