“I need to get my hair redone.” Joel says, stabbing his eggs with his fork, bringing them to his mouth.
“Yeah, your roots have been showing for a bit.” Lizzie says, taking a bite of her toast.
“I could redye it for you.” Etho says, “Would you want that?”
“I was just going to do it, but if you want to do it.” Joel says.
“Oh my gosh, can I help?” Lizzie says, smiling wide.
“Of course.” Etho says, “We can get started after we eat breakfast.”

Joel hears the sound of scissors cutting hair right in front of his face.
The brunet was instructed to keep his eyes closed as Etho trimmed his bangs.
“How’s that look Liz?” Etho asks.
“Really good.” She replies.
Etho brushes and stray hairs off Joel’s face, causing a few of them to land on the old tee shirt he’s wearing. It’s one of Etho’s ones he’s sacrificed for when he does his white hair.
Joel slowly opens his eyes, seeing Etho standing in front of him, lizzie by him, preparing the bleach for the roots of the green streak in his hair.
“Close your eyes.” Etho says, rolling his eyes, “unless you want to get bleach in them?”
Joel closes his eyes again and Etho prepares his hair for the bleach, then he starts to brush it onto the roots.
Once that’s done, Etho rolls it up and they need to wait a little over half an hour for it to work.
The trio just sits there and chats for the time while Etho mixes the green dye for Joel’s hair.
After the 45 minutes are up, Lizzie helps Joel wash the bleach out of his hair.
When it’s done, Etho follows the instructions on the box of the dye and applies the dye to Joel’s hair.
With Joel’s eyes closed again, Joel sees someone pick up his hand.
“Lizzie, what are you doing?”
The smell of nail polish enters the air.
“Painting your nails.” she says, a smile in her voice.
Joel smiles, he loves it when she does that.
After a bit, Etho wrapped the dyed hair up, “Okay, we're going to need to wait a bit again.” he says, reading off the box.
“You two want to go watch a movie?” Lizzie asks, having put the last coat of nail polish on a minute or two ago.
“Sure.” Etho says, “What do you say Joel?”
Joel opens his eyes now that he can, taking a peak down at his nails, painted black, “I’m down.” he says, “Anybody got an idea?”
“We can figure it out in the living room.” Lizzie answers.
Joel stands up, getting out of the chair in the bathroom they had set up for him to sit on.
The three of them head to the living room, plopping Joel in the middle of the couch, careful of his still wet nails, Lizzie and Etho lay down on either side of him, snuggling up to him.
A warm feeling blooms in Joel's chest, he’s got his beautiful wife on one side, and their handsome boyfriend on his other side, it’s a nice cozy feeling.
He loves it and never wants it to leave.
“Thank you, guys.” Joel says, “I love you both.” he says, cheeks a little warm.
“I love you too.” Lizzie says, pressing a big kiss to Joel’s right cheek.
“Me too.” Etho says, resting his head on Joel’s shoulder, “I love you too.”
And Joel feels it, he feels that that’s true, that they do.
