Work Text:
Adrien and Marinette were sitting on the latter's bed, reading through a book of baby names.
They were currently in the girl's section, giggling like mad. None of the names were funny, persay, but the sheer joy they felt kept a smile on both of their faces.
"Marie?" The blue and black haired girl said.
The blond laughed more. "Marie and Mari? Too similar." She read on a bit. "Ooh, Blanche is nice."
Marinette shivered. "Nope. Remember the alternate universe I told you about?"
"Oh, right, evil me." She looked back to the book.
"Simone?"
"Too close to Simon."
"Emma?"
"Did you want to name one of our kids that?"
"Oh... yeah."
Adrien laid back on the bed, still smiling a bit. "How did you pick your name?" She looked to Marinette, who kept her eyes trained on the book.
"I asked my maman what she would have named me if I was born a girl." She said, still focused mostly on the book. "It was supposed to be 'Marinetta', but I switched the last a for an e by accident and liked that better."
"Hmm." Adrien thought for a second. "My dad never told me if he and my mother picked out a name for a girl."
"Then we can continue looking for names!"
The blond looked at her dark haired girlfriend. "What about Solène?"
"Oh, that one sounds beautiful!" Marinette looked back to her. "Did you make it up, or did you hear it somewhere?"
Adrien watched her girlfriend lay next to her. "My mom played a character named Solène once. I found a picture of her and I on the set."
"It's wonderful, Solène. I'm sure your mom would love it."
