Summary
During the siege at the burial mounds, a big sound was heard. After the siege, everyone celebrated the death of the Yiling Patriarch, Wei Wuxian. But not everyone celebrated. Despite his death, and unknown to him, Wei Wuxian still had people who cared about him. One person cared so much, that he dragged his broken body back to the Burial Mounds just in search of the child they took care of. But in the Demon Quelling Cave showed that perhaps it wasn’t Jiang Cheng who killed Wei Wuxian like everyone said he did.
Xiao Xingchen never got to meet his Shijie. He was only ever told stories from his Shifu. Before he left the mountain, Baoshan Sanren gave Xiao Xingchen two items. One was a stuffed toy bunny that was supposed to be meant for Wei Wuxian when he was a baby. The other, a pendant with a drawing of a woman. Shifu said this was his Shijie. Carved into the pendant were three names
“Cangse Sanren”
“Wei Changze”
“Wei Ying”
These names belonged to his Shijie, her husband, and his Shizhi. Xiao Xingchen decided then to travel the world, fighting evil, looking for justice, and search for his Shizhi.SLOW UPDATES
