Chapter Text
Naren Warne was lost.
His team.. they just disappeared. Naren turned a corner to look at a chair and.. Boom. Gone.
He tried contacting them multiple times on his radio, but to no avail.
He found a bag while searching for them. He put his ID in it, and some floppy disks and tapes as well. He put it down for a bit before his arms got sore and then it just.. Disappeared as well.
Then he encountered it. This tall, humanoid looking thing but it wasn’t human. It chased him for a bit before he hid from it for a bit.
Now here he was, searching everywhere for even just the slightest bit of humanity.
Then he saw the wires.
He ran along them. He recognized those as wires from Async.
Then a desk. With a radio on it.
Naren ran to it. “Work..work..” he pleaded as he turned its controls on. And it turned on.
“Standard.. Standard can you hear me? I-uh, I’ve been separated from my team and I-uh.. I’ve never been out this far before and uh.. I think there’s something else in here.. and -uh.. I need you guys to come get me, please.. I don’t know where I am.. But, just.. Fuck, please come get me.. Standard? Please standard.. I-uh-”
Loud sounds emerged from the hallway behind him.
He froze. Please.. He thought.. Please don’t be that thing..
A bird came through the hallway and hit the floor.
Naren, startled, moved back, bonking into the table.
“Shit..”
He would take a few cautious steps toward it, and then it would start flying again, startling him once again.
He would peer into the hallway it came from. On the wall were 2 wooden wheels, one clipped into the wall, and a lamp. “The fuck?”
He would walk down a hallway until he came across leaves and feathers. Then a door, at the start of the hallway near the wheels would open. Naren would turn back. That humanoid figure would come out of it.
Naren starts sprinting down that hallway. “Fuck.. fuck.. Fuck…” At the end of that hallway was a dead end and a smaller hallway. Naren, of course, chose the hallway.
At the end of that hallway, there were 2 hallways. Naren chose the right one.
It led to a room with a beach wallpaper on the walls. Naren thought it was a dead end, but then saw there was a door.
He ran to it, and tried opening it, but it was locked. “Fuck! Fuck! Shit, oh no..”
He ran back to the hallway, but the humanoid figure was already there.
Naren dropped his camera and screamed. The figure growled, before biting Naren badly, and then biting his head off.
Naren Warne was dead.
