“Ah.”
Said the blonde male standing in front of his sink with the pregnancy test. The thing was practically tormenting him, vividly in his face two straight lines with the words “POSITIVE” on the stick.
Tsukasa immediately felt his hands go numb, more so his whole body. But it wasn’t in a horrible stinging way, it’s more of a… good way? If that even exists… Tsukasa didn’t understand the feeling at first, but he immediately started blushing, face flushing and heating while the hand over his mouth started rapidly shaking…
Tsukasa was pregnant.
He was pregnant with a beautiful baby boy or girl.
When reality eventually came to and he realized how long he’d been standing, Tsukasa began jumping happily in place, his feet jumping so much they might fall off. After that feeling of adrenaline ended and he stopped jumping Tsukasa then put a hand on his stomach while the other was holding the test, silently taking everything in.
Tsukasa would be raising a little star with probably the cutest hair ever.
He would be able to wake up every morning and one of the first things he’d do is go see his angel.
Tsukasa would be able to experience those little baby scrunches or whatever that he’d hear people talk about.
He was so excited, and so worried too! But the beginning of his fears of the time were…
What would his parents say?
What would Saki say...?
What would Rui say…?
Would Rui want to be a father? Does he want this? Would he be as happy as Tsukasa is as of right now?
Tsukasa knows he’ll have to tell him eventually, but he’s just afraid. He doesn’t know why necessarily, he’s a 26 (almost 27) year old grown man, he’s married, he’s financially stable, he’s on a good way in his acting career, why should he be worried?
Is he scared of his pregnancy just getting in the way or being a hindrance to the people involved in the pregnancy’s future and bringing them down?
Is he scared of him having to put his OWN future on hold due to his pregnancy?
Is he scared of this pregnancy getting in the way of Rui’s future as a director and inventor?
Wait, no! He shouldn’t be! He and Rui planned this sooo far ahead of time and lately Rui has been asking him indirect questions such as “Have you been feeling moody recently Kasa?” or “You haven’t been feeling lightheaded or anything today?” so he’s obviously been hoping for Tsukasa to surprise him sooner or later!
Tsukasa rapidly shook his head to rebuke those negative thoughts and instead secured the test and hid it in his drawer to show Rui when he’s absolutely sure and ready.

It’s now a 4:38 afternoon a month after the results and an appointment to confirm he was pregnant and Tsukasa’s husband Rui has come home incredibly early after receiving a text from Tsukasa stating that he was sick and was going home. He urgently put his keys in the doorknob and went inside the household, urgently looking for his sick husband. Rui was so occupied in his mind and fast paced that at first he missed Tsukasa in their living room waiting for him before Tsukasa grabbed his attention.
“Tsukasa! S-Sorry I didn’t see you at first heh… I guess I was so worried and desperate to find you that I didn’t see you right under my nose.” Rui apologized.
“Ah… it’s ok Rui, I appreciate you worrying about me! But uh... I have something to tell you, and I can’t tell if you’ll be happy or not…”
Rui immediately puzzled his face of curiosity and worry while looking at Tsukasa, as he had said it in a very hushed and anxious tone which is very unlike him.
“Uhm, ok... You’re scaring me Tsukasa…”
He didn’t realize how much he was scaring Rui until he heard him call him by his actual name as he’d usually call him “Kasa”.
“Oh! I’m sorry for scaring you, Rui! Uh right… um…” Tsukasa was holding his breath as he hesitantly pulled out the pregnancy test from earlier from behind his back. He wasn’t looking at Rui’s eyes but he could feel his breath hitch as well, his body stiffen, and eyes widened. But what he didn’t see was Rui's face turning red and his eyebrows were surprised but in a good way.
“You… You’re…”
Tsukasa began crouching into himself while closing his eyes even harder, worried he’d upset Rui, but..
“You’re pregnant…? That means…” his face and voice suddenly brightened “We’re having a baby!?”
Tsukasa then opened his eyes, stared at Rui, seeing how absolutely lovestruck, surprised, shocked, and happy he was and lovingly nodded, a replica of Rui’s lovesick face.
“Yeah Rui… we are.” Tsukasa almost went to hug Rui after seeing tears immediately forming on his eyelids but was immediately met with Rui taking him in his arms and spinning him in the air, so fast the air was knocked out of his lungs.
“A-Ah! R-Rui! I…I take it you’re happy?” Tsukasa tried to talk to him but he was just laughing while Tsukasa was worrying if he will even be able to even say there’s a baby anymore from how hard Rui is pressing his stomach. Usually if he says anyone else does this, Tsukasa would probably scold the person, but considering Rui is excited he guess he’ll let it slide just for a little bit.
Tsukasa was then immediately put down after a few moments as Rui just remembered what Tsukasa told him.
“Oh! I’m sorry Tsukasa fufu… I guess I was way too excited,” Rui then took a large exhale and brought Tsukasa for a hug normally.
“Of course I’m happy Tsukasa… I’m ecstatic, I’m exhilarated, overjoyed, over the moon…”
“Heh… me too. I was so scared to tell you to be honest.” Tsukasa confessed hiding his face in Rui’s chest.
“Oh? Why?” Rui asked, genuinely asking.
“Well... I thought you’d think me and this baby would be a major distraction or something to your dreams…”
“Oh, Kasa…” Rui gently pushed him off him to see his face and hold his shoulders. “I would NEVER consider you or a baby a distraction to you or my dreams, we both consented to this and knew what was going to happen when you came up to me and said you wanted a baby…” Rui gently caressed Tsukasa’s cheek with a hand while Tsukasa immediately melted into it.
Rui continued, “Also, we’re both 26 and financially stable, pretty solid with both of our careers, there’s nothing wrong with having a baby and taking it easy for at least 9 or so months.” he reassured.
“Yeah, I thought about that for a while too, but you know…thoughts never truly do leave your head haha!”
“Fufu, that’s true…” Rui said simply squeezing Tsukasa tighter. After they separated and moved to their room, Rui was immediately on Tsukasa’s stomach. Tsukasa told him he didn’t need to as he couldn’t feel or see anything yet, but was instead told no as Rui said he wanted to ‘keep the baby warm’.
He wouldn’t ever deny any affection from his husband, so Tsukasa simply rolled his eyes playfully, rubbed Rui’s head a bit, and drifted off to sleep, deciding to tell family and friends really soon.
