Summary
Tom Hayward was a gentleman. He was not a very passionate man outside of the poetry he read. Or at least he thought he wasn’t. His view of himself had toppled over, completely shattered and irrevocably changed since he first laid eyes on Miss Bennet playing grace. He now didn’t recognise himself, he was a man driven by passion in a way he used to think he was driven by reason. He used to be a calm and grounded man but in the presence of Miss Bennet it seemed that all his composure flew out the window and left him to fend for himself. Despite all of this, he remained a gentleman to the outer spectator. He himself knew better. Because the dreams that kept plaguing him was not of a gentleman nature, neither was the thoughts they stemmed from nor the bodily reactions they resulted in.
Or; Tom cant believe his body would betray him like this when he keeps waking up from improper dreams featuring our very favourite nerdy heroine. He tries to fix the situation but it only worsens. Chaos ensumes (if mostly in his own mind)
