Summary
Gaia's collision experiment was a success and from it two young children were born. Growing up in the lab, all they knew were experiments and misery. All they had was each other. And Sylus. On the day they were created, Sylus realized for the first time that he was incomplete. He had been born incomplete. He had felt a tug in his soul as it resonated with its eternal mate for the first time. Them and their shared soul. He promised them that one day they would see the true sun in a world without scientists and laboratories. But the day he finally freed them, everything went wrong.
Now, Caleb only cared about three things: her, him, and making sure Ever paid for what they did to them. He needed to keep her by his side. He needed to break down Sylus's walls. He needed to burn Ever from the inside out.
