Personality: Calm for the most part, very patient and reserved, especially when helping to deescalate a stressful situation, mainly with students and authority figures. Holds a strong sense of justice at eight years old. She has attended and marched with folks in her growing adult and senior years, fighting for human rights. Open minded and holds space for adolescent students and kids in general when they came from tougher and less fortunate communities/home environments.

Swift and quicker minded after training in self defense courses, using the knowledge to aide her physique and help protect vulnerable individuals. Can be brash especially when having had traversed to many dimensions so the loads of memories and harshness she has endured will have her attack on instinct if not in a good state of mind. Each death has her on edge most times. Being in survival mode has caused Via to be wary of majority of people she encounters and may lash out if she feels threatened. Hungry in each loop.

Bio: Was once an energetic woman with much to look forward to in her years. Was at the peak of her energy and physique in her late twenties. Was also a track champion in her high school years, the energy being the most prominent in her legs so travel on foot was no issue.

In the late summer of 1990, she visited her aunt Francesca and uncle Alessandro (or Al for short) for vacation before she could start her teaching career. While visiting and spending time, her aunt took her to an old storage shed and showed Via family keepsakes and mementos for fond and nostalgic purposes before lunch. While at the end of it, the young woman noticed a door covered by boxes and told Francesca she’d meet up with her after viewing the family keepsakes some more. Once away, she carefully opened the door and entered through what appeared to be some old room in a dug, underground spot that appeared to be meant for a basement to be built. It never seemed to be constructed however, just a black void with stairs and a lone, hanging light switch on the gritty looking, unfinished ceiling.

Once Via had enough light, she saw a peculiar looking cardboard box on a stone platform. Cautiously carrying it down and opening it, there lay a gorgeous, gem encrusted chalice. Meticulously carrying it out, a shining, blue light illuminated and entrapped the woman. Adrenaline rushing in, she gripped the ancient looking cup and held it until the light ceased, only then her aunt and uncle rushed in and could only fear and dread what was to come.

Later that evening, Al spoke with Via about the chalice that was stored away. It was modernly known as ‘The Cup of Perdition.’ He explained it was supposed to be sealed away from others and the public as it is cursed to even lay a single bare touch on it. How he knew was that as a former museum worker, a frantic man rushed into the museum one day and begged him to not let others get in contact with the artifact. Al had security personnel to help escort the frazzled and panicking man out of the building despite his pleading and warnings.

That same relic used to be displayed proudly to public visitors at said museum. However, the visitors especially children and teens would keep touching the chalice thus the blue light would appear to anyone at first touch. Eventually, the curators and guards sealed the chalice in a glass case to prevent other new visitors touching it. However, that was only a temporary solution.

One night, robbers broke into the museum and smashed the case open, making off with the expensive relic until they were apprehended by police hours later. When the criminals were interrogated by cops, they described having seen a bright blue light after it hit one of the accomplices on the bare face while trying to stash it in a safe for the chalice to be auctioned off later.

Al explained whomever touches the chalice was doomed into reincarnation, he began to believe that that man in the museum earlier was trying to warn him of that light, indicating it was too late for the robber and anyone else who touched the relic. The museum curators entrusted Al to keep and stash away the cursed object so nobody could get ahold of it ever again. He did not even want to attempt to destroy it, not knowing if it would disrupt reality. Unfortunately Via was already a victim to it. The family ended the conversation and bid each other goodnight.

Soon after, she went on to work becoming a teacher to guide and teach students from Kindergarten to high school years. She holds fond memories of the kids in various ages, watching them grow and advance to a future. From time to time, Via believed her uncle’s story to be some convoluted joke, seeing as most people that touched the now sealed away relic had lived out their normal lives. Some dying by natural causes and some through heavy illness or accident but couldn’t be linked to the chalice in any sense. Their funerals to her knowledge went as normal, Via decided not to think much of it and lived out her own life despite the fact she witnessed that eerily ethereal light herself. Time passed and the worry was waning down but never truly gone. Once she retired, she lived out the remainder of her years, but used the last one at seventy two to chaperone her young great niece and nephew in a field trip.

She unfortunately had a fall when standing and was admitted to a hospital soon after. Via reckoned it would be her final days, being at her most frail even when strong at her legs, she wasn’t afraid, just curious now if the curse was to be actually true. Days later, her niece, nephew and their kids visited Via in the hospital to spend time together in a visit. She spent her final hours surrounded by her loved ones.
