   Summary

   Helaena saw the future in her dreams, but she was willing to let the Greens die for the greater good, because she saw in her dreams that the Prince That Was Promised came from Rhaenyra’s line. But she changed her mind the first time she held her children in her arms.

   As soon as Helaena takes her daughter, she sees visions of her body pierced by the pikes in the moat. “No,” Helaena promises, kissing her daughter’s forehead, then kisses her son’s forehead and repeats her promise, “No.”
