Phoebe enters the living room wearing her red gloves and red boots. Her tail swished behind her, and she shouted “I’m ready!” loudly into the air. Phoebe then said, “Gardening club, here we come! “She smiled happily as she walked over to the sofa and headed towards Nerva.
Nerva rolled their eyes and said “alright phoebe are you sure you have everything you need?” phoebe responded by taking her hat off and pulling out her wand which was inside “I got my wand” Nerva then said “you’re going to need more than a wand phoebe “ “I know that!” phoebe said and began to pull out a shovel and other gardening supplies from her hat.
“I packed a lot of stuff, Nerva ” Nerva nodded their head as Phoebe began putting everything back in her hat. Nerva then said “, Are you sure your hat can handle all that stuff in there?” Phoebe replied with “yeah, it's got an infinite pocket dimension inside, so of course it can” Nerva shrugged their shoulders “I really doubt that it’s infinite” Phoebe then said, “Well, you gotta trust the hat”
Nerva grabs their wand from the sofa and then points to an empty space in the living room. They then cast a spell and open up a familiar blue portal, and Phoebe and Nerva walk inside the portal, and it closes behind them.
Nerva and Phoebe are now in a car park, and Phoebe skips along forward, heading to a metal-fenced gate. Nerva then says, “I’m going to go back home now. I’ll pick you up when you’re done”, and Phoebe responds with “But Nerva ! You should come along too,” “No thanks”, Nerva said as they turned around, and Phoebe quickly said, “I’m sure you’d like it! Plus, we get to take home whatever we grow when it finishes growing.”
Nerva sighed and said “alright I will go but only for this one okay?” and phoebe shouted “yay!” phoebe then heard the metal sound of the gate opening and a human with blond hair and blue eyes approached them the human said “Hello My name is Jane and I’ll be the instructor today I assume you two are joining us for today’s gardening session?” both phoebe and Nerva turned to face Jane.
Phoebe then said, “Of course, we are, Jane!” and Phoebe and Nerva followed Jane inside past the gate as they headed up a small green hill. Jane then said, “And over there is a cabin where we can chat and watch movies when it's raining or play darts. Are you two good at darts?” Nerva responded with “I wouldn’t let Phoebe near a dart board since it's the last time she played with one, she snapped the dart in half” Phoebe then responded with “It was an accident “ Jane then said “Well, you don’t have to play darts”
Phoebe nodded her head and said, “Yeah, I don’t really want to.” Jane then walked towards a patch of gardening land and said, “And here is where we grow all sorts, from mint to herbs you can use in a curry” Phoebe then said, “Oooo, exciting, why is the mint in a plant pot?” Jane then responded with “if you don’t put mint in a plant plot, it can overtake the whole patch, so it's safer to not let it overgrow” Phoebe nodded her head and said, “Ah, that makes sense “Phoebe and Nerva then followed Jane as she walked them to the greenhouse.
Phoebe said to herself, “ I just can’t wait! We could be growing strawberries today or carrots, ooo, what about daisies? That would be fun,” Phoebe continued rambling on about all the possibilities, all the while Nerva remained silent. Phoebe watched as Jane headed into the greenhouse, and Phoebe entered behind her, along with Nerva .
Nerva looked around and saw a lot of plants and vegetables in the greenhouse, all on tables and in plant pots in rows upon rows of them, and Nerva said, “This is nice” Jane then responded with, Yes, it is. We grow all sorts of things here,” Phoebe then asked, “So what will we be doing today?”
Jane then clapped her hands together and said, “You will be planting some tomato plants. Since you are a beginner, you will be removing them from their pots and planting them in the soil. Do you want any help, or are you two okay to do this on your own?” Phoebe pointed at herself and said, “Of course, we can do it on our own!”
Nerva then rolled their eyes and said, “Yeah, we should be fine. Just give us the tomato plants, and we'll let you know when we’re done” Jane then walked over to a table and lifted up a tray. It contained 4 small blue plant pots with tomato plants inside them. Jane handed them over to Nerva, and Nerva held onto them.
Phoebe and Nerva followed Jane out of the greenhouse and into the patch of plant land. Jane then asked, “Do you need any gardening tools? Phoebe replied with “No, we got them already” Jane then asked, “Where?” Phoebe said, “In my hat!” Jane then said, “Alright, well, I will be in the cabin if you need me”
Jane walks off, and Phoebe grabs her hat. She then pulls out two trowels and hands one of them to Nerva. Phoebe then watches, and Nerva places the tray down onto the grass. Phoebe and Nerva both kneel down. Phoebe then had a bright idea and said, “I could speed this up with a little bit of magic!” Phoebe then pulled out her wand and cast a spell, dirt lifted up into the air and was placed on the grass.
Phoebe continued to do this until she had a big whole in the patch of gardening land she was on phoebe then gasped as she said “oops I made a whole that’s too big “ Nerva looked over to phoebe and said “Phoebe you shouldn’t of rushed things with magic” Phoebe then responded with “but it seemed like a good idea “ Nerva then kneeled on over to phoebe and pulled out their wand.
They cast a spell and placed the dirt back in place and said, “Do you want my help to properly plant these tomatoes ?” Phoebe said, “Yes, that would be nice” Phoebe and Nerva both began to dig, but this time with their trowels and no magic, they then pulled the tomatoes out of the small pots one by one and placed them into the soil. Nerva then said, “See, sometimes things are better without magic” Phoebe replied, “Impossible! Just because it was better this one time does not apply to everything,” Nerva then said, right, you’ll understand this one day, Phoebe”
Nerva and Phoebe then covered the tomatoes in dirt so the roots were all covered. Phoebe said, “Hooray! We’re done,” Nerva then said, “let's go tell Jane” Phoebe and Nerva both got up and walked over to the greenhouse as they head their phoebe asked, “Hey, Nerva, will you be coming along to the gardening club next time?”
Nerva then responded with, “Sure, as long as you don’t bring your wand” Phoebe then shook her head and said, “No, Nerva ! You can never leave the house without a wand “ Nerva then said, “Alright, I’m only joking “, and Phoebe then said, “Phew,” and sighed in relief. Phoebe and Nerva both reached the wood cabin and went inside. Phoebe then asked, “So you are coming next time then? And Nerva then said, “Obviously, I will”
Phoebe then spotted Jane sat at a table on a chair, and Phoebe floated over and said, “We’re done!” Phoebe then heard what Jane said to them both “, That’s great, you two, so I assume you want to know what you will be doing next?” “Yeah!” Phoebe said, and Nerva then said, “That would be nice” Jane got up from her seat and said, “You will be planting some potatoes”
Phoebe then said, “Yay! Let's go!”
