It is morning time at Hollow Stalls, and in Phoebe's bedroom, Phoebe lay in bed, sleeping away without a care in the world, when her alarm started buzzing. Phoebe shot out of bed and turned her alarm off. Phoebe then said
“Today’s the day!” Phoebe cheered and started to float. She headed over to her calendar and looked at the date
“June 1st! My birthday”
Phoebe smiled as she then said
“I’m no longer 10! I’m 11 now, I wonder what mum’s cooked me for breakfast”
Phoebe rubbed her hands together and said, “I hope it’s a full English!” Phoebe flew out of her room and into the kitchen.
Once inside the kitchen, Phoebe looked at the table in awe, hoping to find herself a full English breakfast, but all she found instead was nothing on the table except for Dawn drinking coffee. Phoebe let out a shocked gasp and floated over to Dawn. She said
“Mum! Why haven’t you made me breakfast this morning?”
Dawn then replied with “Sorry, Phoebe can’t make it today. Once I finish this coffee, I've got to head downstairs into the store and do some important work”
Phoebe smile, faltered for a second as she heard that, but she kept on smiling so she wouldn’t look sad. A blue portal appeared in the kitchen, and out stepped Nerva, who was walking into the kitchen. The portal then closed behind them. Nerva then said
“Good morning, Phoebe. “
Phoebe soon replied with “good morning to you too, Nerva!” Nerva goes to make themselves a cup of tea, then they head to the table in the kitchen and sit down. Phoebe floats over to Nerva and says
“Hey, Nerva, do you know why today is special?”
Nerva rolled their eyes and said
“It’s the start of Pride Month today, Phoebe. Did you really think I could forget that?”
Phoebe shook her head and said, “No, it's not that! Though that is still important, it's just never mind.”
Nerva then said, “Something is clearly bothering you, Phoebe, what is it?”
Phoebe then said, “It's nothing, it’s all fine really!”
Phoebe sighs and goes to make herself some breakfast before she gets ready for school.
In Wind ford primary school phoebe is sat at the table in her school uniform and is holding her pen and clicking it back and forth she turns her head to the person sitting next to her it was her friend Alex.
Phoebe then said, “Hey, Alex, something strange happened at home today”
Alex then said, “Something strange? What happened, Phoebe?”
Phoebe then said, “Well, today is my birthday, and I woke up expecting the usual full English breakfast, and I got nothing!” Phoebe paused for dramatic effect. She then said, “I know, shocking, right! That’s not all; no one said happy birthday to me or acknowledged it. It’s like Mum and Nerva forgot”
Alex then said, “Well, Phoebe, I’m sure it's just a mistake. They have to remember it's your birthday eventually “
Phoebe looked down at the table and said, “Right.”
Alex then added,” And happy birthday, Phoebe!”
Phoebe then says, “Thank you, Alex, and yeah, this must just be a fluke, and they will remember when I get back home”
Many classes soon passed, and it was lunch time at Wind Ford Primary School. Phoebe is floating with her lunch box in hand, and she is minding her own business, trying to think of where she could possibly sit.
It was then that Phoebe noticed someone familiar in the distance and floated over to her.
“Yasmin!” Phoebe said, and Yasmin turned around and said, “Phoebe!”
Phoebe then said, “I had no idea you went to the same school as me “
Yasmin then added, “Well, it never came up last time we met “
Phoebe nodded her head and said, “Of course, so fun fact today’s my birthday”
Yasmin then said, “Well, happy birthday mate “
Phoebe said, “Thanks. “
Yasmin then said, “Hey, do you want to sit next to me today? We can totally just chat all lunch”
Phoebe replied with “Oh boy, do I? Yes, I would love to do that, Yasmin”
Yasmin began walking to an empty lunch table, and Phoebe followed behind with a smile.
The school day soon came to a close, and Phoebe returned home to the hollow stalls. She opened the shop door, expecting customers to be in the shop , but the store's opening sign said closed, and no one was on the shop floor.
“Mum!” Phoebe called out and got no response. She then said
“Okay, that’s weird”
Phoebe floated forward and headed upstairs to the flat and entered the hallway. She then looked around and noticed no one was here either. Phoebe moved through the hallway and said
“Mum! Nerva! Is anyone home?” Phoebe then headed towards the kitchen and noticed that the lights were off. Once she headed inside, Phoebe could hear a loud
“Happy Birthday!” The lights to the kitchen then went on. Phoebe could see a happy birthday banner attached to the ceiling, presents were on the kitchen table and Nerva and dawn were standing at the end of the table.
Phoebe then said, “You remembered my birthday! I thought you all forgot!”
Nerva then chimed in with “We both wanted to surprise you today since you’re now 11”
Dawn nodded her head “Yeah, and we knew you’d enjoy a surprise”
Phoebe smiled and said, “Thank you! So, is there anything else planned for today?”
Dawn then said, “In fact, there is something else planned for today”
Phoebe gasped and repeatedly said, “What is it! What is it!”
Dawn replied with “It’s a meal out we’re going to that Spanish tapas place you like”
Phoebe soon said, “Zebs, that’s great! When are we going?”
Nerva then said, “We are going right now, Phoebe. “
Phoebe cheered and floated over to Dawn and Nerva. Nerva pulled out their wand and opened a blue portal in the middle of the kitchen.
Phoebe, Nerva and Dawn all entered the blue portal, then it closed behind them.
