Spoke was listening attentively throughout the duration of Parrot's story ,eyes resembling the white porcelain cup saucers that the headmaster liked to use so much.
„What is ‘the call of the well’ and why could they hear it?”
Parrot sighed sadly, these definitely weren’t the topics two children should converse about.
„Maybe you should try asking Wifies about that one Spoke, he did like a whole research paper investigation thingy on it ,but I don’t think it matters much anyway. What does matter is that you remember to always be careful near the well and never even think about leaning over the edge like you did a second ago ever again ,especially when you are pulling the bucket up!”
