Chapter Text
Tony, Pepper, Rhodey, Happy, Steve, Bucky, Natasha, Bruce, and Clint were all suddenly standing in a very rundown and old RV. They were all on alert in seconds. There didn't seem to be a threat, though, so they relaxed.
"Hey, I found something." Pepper called from the back of the RV. She had Happy with her. They rushed to her and saw a bed in the back where a young man was lying. "He looks..." Her hand was covering her mouth. "Is he..."
Bruce made his way over and gently rolled the young man over. He'd been lying on his stomach. He felt for a pulse.
"He's alive, but just barely." Bruce informed everyone. "He needs medical attention."
"You are about an hour from the compound." JARVIS spoke.
"I'll drive." Bucky offered, heading for the front of the RV.
Bucky got them to the Compound in record time, but it was discovered that he and Stark couldn't leave the RV, and neither could the young man. He wondered how they were going to get the young man medical attention if they couldn't get him to the medical equipment. The young man looked bad, really bad. They got as much medical equipment as they could to the young man. He helped move it, Banner and Dr. Cho hooked the young man up to the equipment, and began running tests. He stared at the young man as he stood and watched.
The young man had messy black hair, his skin was deathly pale, and it looked as if scars covered his entire body. They all jumped when a phone began ringing. Everyone pulled out their Stark Phones, but none of them were ringing. Then Bucky spotted a Stark Phone just under the bed. He retrieved it and answered it. He put it on speaker phone and held it out to Banner and Cho.
"HARRY?! HARRY?!"
The voice was male and sounded frantic. He also sounded British.
"My name is Dr. Helen Cho." Cho told the voice. "We found this phone with an unconscious young man. We can't wake him up. Our tests show that he is in a coma."
"I'm his maternal cousin. My name is Dudley Dursley. His name is Harry. Where is he? Where are you? Look, he said he was going to New York to work for our business. That was a week ago. I haven't heard from him since. I'm his emergency contact. I have power of attorney over him. So please tell me where he is. I'm in New York and have been searching everywhere for him."
"I can have someone come and get you. Where can they meet you?"
"Do you know where the new offices for Evans Luxury Cruise Lines are?" Dudley asked. "I'm there. Ask for me in the lobby, and they'll get me."
Bucky hung up and went back to staring at the young man. So his name was Harry.
They'd moved the bed into a position where it could have machines on both sides of it. So they were able to have him connected to everything that he needed to be connected to.
"We need to do more extensive tests." Cho sighed. "He could be bleeding internally, and we'd never know."
"We've tried to move him out of here, but some kind of force wouldn't let us." Tony informed. "Barnes and I can't leave either. We've tried. Get me some of my equipment, and I can try to build something for him, but for now, this is the best we've got."
Bucky cleared his throat, and everyone looked at him.
"Can't we install JARVIS in here?" he asked. "Cameras, sensors, everything. JARVIS would be able to run all the scans we need, wouldn't he?"
"Good idea." Stark actually admitted. "It'll take some time, but with some help, we could have JARVIS running at full capacity in a few days. We can install him back here first and work on getting the rest of the RV wired later."
"Good thinking, Bucky." Steve beamed at him.
He shrugged as everyone muttered agreement.
Tony frowned at the young man lying on the bed. How had he gotten in this condition? He shook his head and focused. They were installing JARVIS around the part of the RV where the young man was. Or rather, he was, because he didn't want anyone knowing how his precious JARVIS worked. Rhodey was helping him, and he knew that Barnes was watching. What else did Barnes have to do? He couldn't leave. It had been two hours, and they were nowhere close to done. They'd just finished the wall behind the bed when a blond man ran in and to the bed.
Tony studied this man. He looked nothing like the young man in the bed. They were cousins? He wasn't sure that he believed it.
"We both take after our fathers." Dudley said, glancing at Tony Stark. "That's what you're thinking, isn't it? That we look nothing alike. We get that a lot. We both take heavily after our fathers. Harry has his mother's eyes, though." he frowned at his cousin, then around at the RV and the Avengers. What was Harry doing with the Avengers? "Why do you have my cousin? I mean, thank you for caring for him, but what is going on here?"
They explained to him what had happened so far and what Tony and Rhodey were doing.
"Can't leave the RV?" Dudley asked, standing up and looking around. "Harry bought this thing as Sanctuary. Said he was going to fix it up and upgrade it to state-of-the-art. He won't mind that he can't leave, but he's going to be furious that you're messing with his Sanctuary. I understand why you're doing it, but just know that you don't want to make him angry."
The Avengers exchanged looks at that. Was Harry like the Hulk? Why didn't they want to make him angry?
Dr. Cho returned, holding a Starkpad and frowning at the results.
"I've got the blood tests back." she announced, going straight to Harry's side. "Mr. Dursley?"
"Yes." Dudley answered. "Please destroy those blood samples. Harry has a thing about his blood. He doesn't like it when people take it, and he always destroys the samples. Now what did you find?"
"Something interesting."
"His leukemia isn't back, is it?" Dudley asked worriedly.
"His white blood cell count is worringly low." Dr. Cho answered. "I'll run some tests. He's had leukemia before?"
"The first time was when we were six." Dudley answered. "He went into remission, but it came back when we were ten. He went into remission again when we were eleven, and he's able to go to a private school. It came back shortly when we were fourteen. He wouldn't do chemo that time, not at first, but he eventually found someone to go to the school and give him treatment, and went back into remission."
Dr. Cho nodded and added it to Harary's file.
"I'll get you all the medical records that I can, but I haven't been able to reach his school." Dudley explained.
"Good, good." Dr. Cho nodded. "What do you know about his parents?"
They all noticed that Dudley suddenly looked uncomfortable. He looked as if he didn't want to answer. Finally, he sighed and spoke after a few minutes of silence.
"Honestly, not much." Dudley admitted. "His parents were killed when he was 15 months old. Harry's mother was my mother's younger sister. Harry came to live with us after it happened. My mum and his mum didn't get along very well. They weren't even in contact when that happened. My mum didn't talk about her sister, ever. Harry's mum was named Lily Evans, and she was married to James Potter....."
"Lily Evans?" Tony said, staring at the cousin with wide eyes. "You got a picture, kid?"
Dudley got up and looked around the room. It was clear that he was searching for something. He finally found it—a photo in a frame of a man and a woman. He handed it to Tony.
"Oh." Tony said. "I know...I knew this woman."
"Did you?" Dudley asked.
"I'm not surprised that you know that woman, Mr. Stark." Dr. Cho said. "I came in here to tell you that you're this young man's father."
Tony's entire world tipped as he collapsed under the weight of the news. His mind went blank as he sat there. He had a son?
