Summary
Danny is living life. The best that he can. Already having spent 3 years as phantom. Sam now has magic, and so does Tucker. Danny blames the high amounts of ecto radiation they hang around. And now he has to help his sister Jazz manage through a sot-of-halfa awakening from so much contamination that she shouldn't even be alive at this point. But he'll help her, he has to. No one has to know his problems.
They don't need to know how each injury gives him more of a reason to hate himself, How being king drives him further into the ground, if he ever where in the ground.
But what happens when suddenly the GIW take a turn for the worst? When Danny is recued by Jazz, Sam and Tucker from the GIW, but is found open wide laid flat on a table. Tied to the table.
Danny has to runaway to the zone and his friends and sister follow him. Then what?And what happens when Constantine gets a word of the GIW tell Batman who then asks for a league briefing? A summoning is what.
And what happens when John accidentally causes Danny to show his 'monster' side? Trauma and friendship building is what.

Summary
When Danny thought of royalty he used to think of resplendence and indulgence and the delegation of tasks.
Well, that turned out to be a load of crap. Danny now had a laundry list of problems he had to take care of, starting with the leaks of ectoplasm that were draining from the Ghost Zone into the Mortal Realm and that was much too dangerous to be lying around where any old human could be exposed to the soul corrupting biohazard.
(And maybe after he'd hit up that Constantine guy he's gotten complaints from no less than ten of his subjects and had a whole list of other transgressions and alarming notes of interest on. Someone like that couldn't be left to just run around unmonitored not even mentioning that active custody case for his soul that was being duked out in ghost court. Danny's ghost court.)

Nezu spends his life among humans, yes. He made a career out of training the best of them to save, to fight, to be good. Because Nezu has seen what humans can do when left alone to choose their own path. They murder. They torture. They experiment. He needs to make sure they are raised with proper morality, that the good traits are the ones nurtured. But part of him will never be able to fully let down his guard around any human ever again.
