-pomni pov-
While Pomni was trying to fix a hole that was made from Caines's deletion, she heard someone’s footsteps behind her. “Pomni“ When she turned her head around, she saw it was Jax. There was an awkward moment of silence. “I-uh-I” he shook his head “You know what-whatever! It doesn’t matter anyway.” Jax turned and walked away. Pomni sat there for a minute, watching him walk away. She was confused but then went back to fixing the holes. She would ask him about it after she was done.

Pomni had been looking for Jax for the last hour.
She really couldn’t think of place she hasn’t checked. She had asked the other circus members if they had seen him. Kinger and Ragatha said they hadn’t. Gangle and Zooble hadn’t seen him either, they were both pissed off a bit. Pomni was starting to get really worried. She thought more about places she hadn’t checked…
{HIS ROOM! I HAVEN’T CHECKED HIS ROOM YET!}
She sprinted to his room. She gave his room a knock, no answer. When she was about to leave, she could hear some grunts in the room. “Jax, are you in there?” Some more grunts. She tried to open the door. Locked. “Hey, can you unlock the door?” She was getting more anxious by the second. “N-no Ribbit. We were never friends.” She could hear Jax mumbling, she had only heard that name once, when Ragatha was talking to her and Abel.
Pomni started to bang on the door “JAX! CAN YOU HEAR ME? OPEN UP THE DOOR PLEASE” There was no movement in the room. Pomni started to run into thr door with her shoulder, trying to open it. She finally broke open the door. What she saw made her gasp. There Jax was, in his bed. But he didn’t look normal. He had this black goop on the left side of his face. Mini eyes started to open and look around. They are stared at Pomni. She ran to his bed, trying to shake him awake, he hadn’t moved. “COME ON JAX! PLEASE!” Pomni started to cry now. Her tears falling on his face. She pulled him into a hug, she was sobbing hard now, gasping for air. She thought all hope was lost until she felt arms starting to move to hug her back. She moved her head back to see Jax’s eyes back to normal, and no more gloop on his face. a slight smile on his face. He looked tired. “I-I.. JAX!” She pulled him back into a hug, tighter than before. Jax was hesitant to hug her, but he gave the same tightness she is giving him. “I HATE YOU SO MUCH! NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!” Pomni closed her eyes tighter. “heh, hate you too.” Pomni could hear Jax start to cry. A choked sob left him. Pomni’s heart felt like it was breaking. Her shoulder started to become wet He sniffed and took a shaky breath. They stayed in that position on his bed for a little while.
“So, what did you want to tell me earlier?” Pomni asked. Jax pulled back, his expression blank. The yellow in his eye basically gone. He took a deep breath in.

Jax finally thought this was the time. He thought this would be the time he would abstract. He was so ready, no one cared about him in the circus anyway. Zooble hated his guts, Gangle was terrified of him, Ragatha wanted to “fix” him, Kinger barely knew he existed, and Pomni… she got real pissed when he pushed Kinger. He knew no one would care if he did, so why keep going on? When he lied in his bed, he knew this would be the last time. The same thing happened the last couple of times he almost abstracted, Ribbit’s hands would come out the hole in the wall, he would grab them, then it would feel like he’s high. Except, this time something else happened. Ribbit came out of nowhere. Then, the atmosphere changed. The calmness drifted away, instead, a snowy biome came. Tension started to creep up. “You said we were friends Jax!” Ribbit’s voice was glitching out slightly. “You must be misremembering Ribbit. We were never friends.” Jax’s automatic answer came on whenever someone asked that question. “Your lyin(glitch)g!!! You told me everything, about you, your mom, your father! No stranger would say that to another stranger! We are something!” Ribbit was now glitching out completely. “JUST SHUT UP RIBBIT! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!” Jax’s vision was getting blurry now, blinking away tears, he grinned his stupid grin. Suddenly, Ribbit stopped. A voice started to get louder instead. He couldn’t figure out what they were saying. It was getting louder and louder. It sounded like… Pomni? “JA— AKE UP! PLE—SE!” He couldn’t tell exactly what he was was hearing, but it sounded important. Then, the snowy weather was slowly stopping. He started to float in the sky. {what the fuck is happening today...?} Jax was so confused. The colors in his vision started to disappear.
He blinked and he heard sobbing, and he felt his shoulders becoming wet. He looked down to see Pomni, hugging him and sobbing. He didn’t know why, but he decided to hug her back. Any other time, he would have just pushed her off of him. He was just too tired fight back anymore. Jax heard Pomni gasp and she pulled back and they stared at eachother. It was an awkward 5 seconds. Suddenly, Pomni lunged at him and gave him a tight hug. His mind was telling him he still had a chance to push her, make it so she wouldn’t be about him anymore. Instead, he gave her the same hugging energy she gave him. “I HATE YOU SO MUCH! NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!” She was crying still. A tired grin spread across his face. “heh, hate you too.” Jax tried to keep it in, he really did. He just couldn’t anymore. He cried. He cried until he couldn’t. He cried until he was dry. A few minutes after he had stopped crying. Pomni pushed him away {Of course, she’s probably disgusted with me...} Jax’s face faltered, his ears fell a little.
“So, what did you want to tell me earlier?”
Jax was surprised. He was hoping that she forgot. He breathed in, “I was going to say...” Exhale, “I was going to say sorry the last week. I’ve been an assho- “before he could finish, Pomni kissed him. A kiss that had meaning. Not like the ones he had shared with his friends at parties. No, this one had emotions, Love, Compassion, and Trust. Pomni cupped his cheeks with her hands. He didn’t know where to put his hands, so he just decided to put them on her hips. after a few seconds, Pomni pulled back. She and Jax were redder than tomatoes. “OHMYGOSHIMSO-“ Pomni was about to finish apologizing when Jax’s lips crashed back on to hers. This kiss had hunger behind it. They kissed like they only had one chance ever. Jax pulled back this time. He put his head in the crook of Pomni’s neck and shoulder, to hide how red he was. Pomni had started to pet the back of ears, while slowly turning them to lay on the bed. Just then, Pomni felt a vibration on her neck and heard a purring sound. “Jax.. CAN YOU PURR?” Jax groaned, he had hidden that feature of his since he came into the circus. “…yeah.” Jax was so embarrassed as he dug his head deeper into the crook of Pomni’s neck. She continued to pet him while he continued to purr until they both drifted off into sleep.
