    “I thought the worrying would be over.” She said quietly. I could tell that she wasn’t playing anymore. The mask was off. “Once we got out of the dungeon, we weren’t supposed to lose anyone anymore. Please don’t make me lose someone else.”

    “Fine,” I muttered. “Fuck, Donut, fine. I’ll send him a chat, okay?”

    Donut curled closer, purring loudly as I pulled up the chat function. I scrolled past the few chats I had since the dungeon closed, updates from various members of the group flicking by as I searched for a thread that hadn’t been used in almost a year.

    Carl: Hey, Mordecai. It’s been a while. Donut and I were just talking and wanted to see if you wanted to visit. We miss you. Donut especially.
