Work Text:
Eve felt a hand on her arm, holding her back from stopping the horror that was about to happen.
"Don't," Flynn said. "This needs to happen this way."
"We can't let this happen," Eve said, stepping back only to have Flynn grab her wrist. "She'll die."
"And If we get in the way all of us will die," Flynn said. "The world will suffer. But she won't. Not if we stand back."
Eve did not want to believe him, didn't want to let her die, but part of her knew he was right. It was foretold.
And it was beautiful.
