"There's a malfunction in the scanner," Spock said. "There is no other explanation."
McCoy rolled his eyes.
"There's no malfunction. You just don't want to admit that I was right and you were wrong about this."
Spock glared, not that he would admit it was a glare to anyone. It made McCoy want to grin but he held off. He didn't want to seem like he was gloating.
"I wouldn't have an issue if it wasn't clear that there had been some form of malfunction."
"I suppose we could do a check if it will make you feel better, Spock."
