Work Text:

As Dustin and Lucas walked into WSQK, every head in the room immediately turned toward them.

Dustin frowned. "What?"

"Where's Thing One and Thing Two?" Steve asked from across the room.

"Uh..." Dustin looked around. "Aren't they with you guys?"

"No," Robin said.

Lucas groaned. "Not again."

The room fell silent.

"What do you mean, 'not again'?" Nancy asked.

Dustin and Lucas exchanged a look.

"When we left school," Lucas explained, "Will said he was coming here to talk to Robin."

Robin blinked. "He never came here."

"And Mike said he was going home to talk to Nancy," Dustin added.

Nancy folded her arms. "Definitely didn't happen."

Joyce stiffened immediately, leaning closer to Hopper.

Hopper muttered under his breath. "You've gotta be kidding me."

The room's tension suddenly shifted.

"Wait," Jonathan said. "You guys seriously don't know where they are?"

"How would we know?" Dustin shot back.

"Because they're your best friends!" Jonathan argued.

"And Will’s  your brother!" Dustin said.

"He tells you everything!"

"Guys," Steve interrupted.

"No!" Dustin pointed at Jonathan. "Everyone always assumes Lucas and I know where they are. We don't!"

Lucas nodded. "Seriously. Half the time they disappear before we even realize they're gone."

"Disappear?" Joyce repeated.

The concern in her voice made everyone pause.

Lucas rubbed the back of his neck.

"Okay... so maybe this isn't exactly new."

"What?" Nancy asked.

Lucas sighed.

"They've been doing this for months."

The room exploded.

"Months?!"

"Are you serious?"

"What do you mean months?"

Joyce's face had gone pale.

"Lucas," she said carefully. "What exactly do you mean by that?"

Lucas looked guilty.

"I mean... they keep running off together."

"Running off where?" Hopper demanded.

"We don't know!" Lucas said.

"That's the problem."

Dustin nodded.

"They always have some excuse."

"They'll say they're going one place," Lucas added, "but then they never actually go there."

Robin frowned.

"How long has this been happening?"

Lucas thought for a moment.

"Since spring? Maybe earlier."

"Why didn't you tell anyone?" Joyce asked.

Dustin looked genuinely confused.

"Because we didn't think it was a big deal?"

"They always showed back up eventually."

"Except that one time," Dustin muttered.

Everyone looked at him.

"What one time?" Steve asked.

Dustin groaned.

"There was this day a few weeks ago."

"Of course there was," Steve sighed.

"They told us they were coming here."

Robin nodded. "Okay."

"So Lucas and I came to meet them."

"And?" Nancy asked.

"And they weren't here."

Robin frowned.

"I don't remember that."

"Exactly!" Dustin pointed.

"Because they never came."

The room grew quieter.

"I checked with Steve."

Steve nodded slowly.

"I checked with Robin."

Robin nodded too.

"They never told either of us they were stopping by."

Lucas crossed his arms.

"Then they vanished for like four hours."

"And when they finally showed up," Dustin continued, "they acted like nothing happened."

"What excuse did they give?" Jonathan asked.

Dustin and Lucas spoke at the same time.

"'We got distracted.'"

Steve groaned.

"Oh my God."

Joyce looked increasingly anxious.

"Something's wrong."

"Joyce—" Hopper began.

"No. Something is wrong."

Everyone fell silent.

"Mike would never miss this meeting," Joyce said.

"And Will knows how important this is."

The room exchanged nervous glances.

Finally, a quiet voice spoke up.

"I could find them."

Everyone turned toward Eleven.

Jane stood near the back of the room.

"In the Void."

"No."

The answer came instantly from Hopper.

"Hop—"

"No."

Jane frowned.

"I can do it."

"You've used your powers enough lately."

"We need to know where they are."

"We can wait."

"What if we can't?" Jane argued.

The room went quiet.

Hopper opened his mouth but stopped.

Jane stepped forward.

"If they're in trouble, waiting makes no sense."

"They're probably fine," Hopper said.

"Probably isn't good enough."

Joyce looked between them.

For the first time, she didn't seem completely against the idea.

"Hop..."

Hopper stared at her.

"You too?"

"If they're missing during a Vecna emergency..." Joyce said quietly, "I want to know why."

Hopper sighed heavily.

Everyone waited.

Finally he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"I hate this."

"Is that a yes?" Steve asked.

"I hate all of you."

"That's not a no," Robin said.

Hopper pointed at Jane.

"Five minutes."

Jane immediately smiled.

"Thank you."

"I already regret this."

The group quickly began moving furniture to make room.

As everyone prepared for Jane to enter the Void, a nervous feeling settled over the room. Because suddenly everyone was asking the same question. Where exactly had Mike and Will been disappearing to for months?

Everyone fell silent as Jane closed her eyes.

A moment later, static crackled through the radio. The room seemed to hold its breath, Jane's brows furrowed as she entered the Void. Darkness surrounded her, then she reached for Will. It was easier than finding Mike. Ever since California, she'd always had a stronger connection to Will.

The darkness dissolved.

A picture slowly formed.

Jane blinked.

There.

Will was sitting in the grass.

Laughing.

Joyce immediately let out a relieved sigh.

"Oh, thank God."

The radio crackled.

"Mike, stop!"

Will's voice echoed through the room.

"Get off of me!"

A burst of laughter followed.

Mike's laughter.

The entire room froze.

Jane tilted her head.

Mike rolled off Will, still laughing as he landed beside him in the grass.

"They're together," Jane reported.

"Where?" Hopper asked.

Jane stared at the scene.

"They're in Castle Byers."

Jonathan immediately looked up.

"What?"

Joyce frowned.

"That's impossible."

"It was destroyed years ago," Jonathan said.

"The storm took it down."

Jane continued staring.

"Not this one."

Everyone looked at her.

"It looks new."

"What?" Joyce whispered.

"Bigger too."

Joyce and Jonathan exchanged confused looks.

The radio crackled again.

Everyone immediately went silent.

"Mike?"

"Yeah?"

A pause.

Then Will spoke softly.

"Thank you."

Mike looked confused.

"You don't have to thank me."

"Especially not for this."

"I know."

The smile on Will's face faded slightly.

"I just..."

Another pause.

Mike sat up a little straighter.

"No, Will."

His voice was gentle.

"This is the least I can do."

Will looked away.

Mike continued.

"I mean..."

His voice grew quieter.

"I'm the reason the original Castle Byers is..."

He swallowed.

"You know."

Will's smile disappeared completely.

For a second nobody spoke.

Even through the radio, everyone could feel the weight of the memory.

The rain.

The fight.

The words neither of them had ever forgotten.

Mike stared down at the grass.

"I don't think I ever apologized for that either."

The room at WSQK went completely still, everyone confused on what they were talking about.

Will turned toward him.

Mike took a shaky breath.

"When I said it wasn't my fault you didn't like girls..."

Joyce's eyes widened.

Jonathan froze.

Robin slowly looked at Steve.

Dustin's mouth fell open.

Lucas looked like he'd just remembered something.

Mike kept going.

"I knew the second I said it that it was wrong."

Will didn't interrupt.

Mike laughed bitterly.

"I think I knew before I even finished saying it."

The radio crackled.

"I was angry."

Mike shook his head.

"Actually, no."

"I was scared."

Will looked at him.

"I was terrified."

Mike's voice grew softer.

"Everything was falling apart. El broke up with me. I was having these weird feelings that I didn't know how to handle.”

Everyone listening exchanged glances.

"You looked at me like I was supposed to have all the answers."

Mike laughed weakly.

"And I didn't."

Will's eyes were glossy now.

"So I lashed out."

The grass rustled as Mike looked away.

"I said the one thing I knew would hurt you."

Joyce covered her mouth.

Jonathan stared at the floor.

"I hated myself for it."

Mike's voice cracked.

"I hated myself the second I saw your face."

Silence filled the room.

Then Lucas suddenly spoke.

"Wait."

Everyone turned toward him.

Lucas shook his head.

"No way."

"What?" Dustin asked.

Lucas looked toward the radio.

"After that fight."

He pointed toward the sound of Mike's voice.

"He was losing his mind."

Everyone stared at him.

"What do you mean?" Robin asked.

Lucas laughed once in disbelief.

"Dude forced me to bike across town in the pouring rain to apologize to Will.”

Lucas continued.

"He asked me like twenty times what he should say."

"He wouldn't shut up about it."

Lucas snorted.

"He kept asking if the apology sounded sincere."

"Then he'd change one word."

"And ask again."

"And again."

"And again."

Robin looked amused.

Back in Castle Byers, neither Mike nor Will had spoken.

The radio only carried the sound of the wind.

Then Will finally broke the silence.

“It’s ok Mike”

“No it’ts not ok. You should have never forgiven me.”

Mike sighs.

“I..I.. knew what people said about you, what your dad…”

 he didn’t finish that sentence.

“You would cry on my shoulder on days the bullies would get to much or if your dad yelled that word to you and I knew all of this and still..still I..shit Will im so fucking sorry.”

The room at WSQK was completely silent.

Nobody moved.

Nobody spoke.

Even Dustin had stopped fidgeting.

The only sound was the static coming from the radio.

Back in Castle Byers, Mike sat frozen.

Will stared at him.

For a moment neither boy spoke.

Then suddenly—

Will launched himself forward. Mike barely had time to react before Will wrapped his arms around him, a  choked sob escaped Will's throat.

Mike's eyes widened.

"Will—"

Will held on tighter.

Years of hurt, guilt, loneliness, and confusion seemed to pour out of him all at once.

"I'm sorry," Mike whispered.

Will shook his head immediately.

"No."

Another sob escaped him.

"No."

Mike looked confused.

Will finally pulled back enough to look at him.

His eyes were red.

Tears streamed freely down his face.

"You don't have to keep apologizing."

Mike stared.

"What?"

Will laughed weakly through his tears.

"I forgave you."

The words seemed to hit Mike like a truck.

"What?"

"I forgave you."

Will wiped at his face.

"A long time ago."

Back at WSQK, Joyce covered her mouth.

Jonathan stared at the floor.

Robin looked suspiciously emotional.

Steve glanced at her.

Robin immediately glared at him.

"Don't."

Steve raised his hands.

"I didn't say anything."

"You were going to."

"Maybe."

Back in Castle Byers, Mike still looked stunned.

"You forgave me?"

Will nodded.

"Yeah."

"But after what I said—"

"It hurt."

Mike immediately looked away.

"It did."

Will swallowed.

"It hurt a lot."

The guilt returned to Mike's face instantly.

"But that's not all I remember."

Mike looked back at him.

Will smiled sadly.

"I remember you driving across the country to find El."

"I remember you helping save me."

"I remember all the times you were there."

Mike's eyes watered.

"Will..."

"I know you."

Will's voice cracked.

"You're my best friend."

The words hung in the air.

"And I knew you didn't mean it."

Back at WSQK, Lucas quietly crossed his arms.

"Told you."

Everyone looked at him.

Lucas shrugged.

"He never stopped defending Mike after that fight."

Jonathan blinked.

"What?"

Lucas nodded.

"Seriously."

"He'd get upset whenever anyone brought it up."

Dustin immediately pointed.

"He's right."

Lucas continued.

"I remember Max saying Mike was being an idiot."

A small smile appeared on Lucas's face.

"And Will got mad."

Dustin laughed.

"Oh my God, I forgot about that."

"What happened?" Robin asked.

Lucas smirked.

"Will spent ten minutes explaining why Mike was stressed."

Joyce's eyes softened.

Back in Castle Byers, Will was still holding Mike's hand.

"You know what I remember most?"

Mike shook his head.

Will smiled through his tears.

"The look on your face after you said it."

Mike groaned.

"Oh God."

"No, seriously."

Will squeezed his hand.

"You looked horrified."

Mike buried his face in his hands.

"Because I was."

"You looked like you wanted to take it back immediately."

"I did."

"The second it came out."

Will laughed softly.

"I know."

Mike finally looked up.

"You do?"

Will nodded.

"That's why I forgave you."

The silence that followed wasn't uncomfortable.

It was years of pain finally beginning to heal.

For a moment, neither of them moved.

Will's hand was still holding Mike's.

Mike's eyes were still glassy from tears.

The air between them felt different now.

Lighter.

Warmer.

Years of things left unsaid hanging between them.

Will looked at Mike.

Mike looked at Will.

Neither seemed able to look away.

Back at WSQK, everyone listened quietly through the static.

Robin leaned forward.

"What are they doing now?"

Jane remained silent.

In the Void, she watched as Will gave a small, nervous laugh.

Mike smiled.

Will's gaze dropped briefly to Mike's lips.

Then back to his eyes.

Mike noticed.

Will noticed Mike noticing.

Neither of them looked away.

"What's going on now Janet?"

Jane didn't answer.

She simply stared.

In Castle Byers, Mike slowly moved closer.

Will met him halfway.

Neither of them seemed to be thinking anymore.

Years of friendship.

Years of love.

Years of missed chances.

Gone in an instant.

Their lips met.

Jane sucked in a sharp breath.

Back at WSQK, every head snapped toward her.

"What?" Dustin asked.

Jane's eyes widened.

For perhaps the first time in her life, she looked completely caught off guard.

"Jane?" Hopper asked.

"What happened?"

Nobody got an answer.

Jane just stared.

"Jane."

"What are they doing?" Robin asked.

"Seriously, what happened?"

Joyce immediately stood.

"Jane."

The concern in her voice filled the room.

"Are they hurt?"

Jane blinked.

"No."

Everyone released a collective sigh.

"Then what's wrong?" Jonathan asked.

Jane looked at the scene in front of her Mike and Will kissing like this isn't their first time. She watches as Will climbs on top of Mike while Mike is touching any place on Will he can.

Suddenly every eye was on her.

Waiting.

Expecting an answer.

Jane hesitated.

"I..."

Static of Will’s loud breath come through the radio.

"Jane," Joyce said carefully.

"What are they doing?"

A long silence followed.

Will is now kissing down Mike’s neck.

Then Jane spoke.

"They kissed. They are kissing.”

A low moan vibrates through the radio.

Nobody moved.

Nobody breathed.

Nobody spoke.

The room went completely silent.

Dustin's jaw dropped.

Lucas looked like his brain had stopped working.

Steve blinked.

Robin's eyes widened.

Nancy froze.

Jonathan nearly choked.

Joyce simply stared.

Hopper looked around the room.

Then back at Jane.

Then back at the room.

As if he was checking whether everyone had heard the same thing.

They both are giggling into the kiss, the sounds barely making it  through the radio.

"They what?" Dustin squeaked.

Jane glanced back toward Castle Byers.

"They are kissing."

Silence.

Then–

"Oh."

Robin was the first to recover.

A grin immediately spread across her face.

"Oh."

Steve looked at her.

"That's your reaction?"

"I've been waiting years for this."

"What?"

"You heard me."

Lucas rubbed his face.

"I can't believe this."

"You can't?" Robin asked.

Lucas pointed toward the radio.

"They've been disappearing together for months!"

"Exactly," Robin said.

Dustin looked genuinely offended.

"Wait."

Everyone turned toward him.

"You guys knew?"

Robin laughed.

"Not officially."

Nancy nodded.

"But there were signs."

Jonathan slowly shook his head.

"Wow."

Joyce sat down heavily.

Not upset.

Just stunned.

"They've really been sneaking off to Castle Byers this whole time."

A small smile tugged at the corner of her mouth.

Despite everything.

Despite the confusion.

Despite the shock.

She looked relieved.

Back in Castle Byers, completely unaware they had become the center of attention, Mike and Will had finally pulled apart.

Foreheads resting together.

Smiling through tears.

While an entire room full of people sat in absolute disbelief from miles away.

When they break away from the kiss with a loud pop everyone goes silent again.

“Mike.”

“Yea.”

“I think we should head back.”

Mike groans.

“Why?”

“Because I think we are being obvious now, we’ve been lying for months now.”

Mike pulls Will in closer by the waist, and kisses his forehead.

“I-” Will hesitates.

“It's ok go ahead.”

“I want to tell my mom and Jonathan about me.”

Mike freezes.

“I don't have to tell them about us I just think they should know, I think Jon already knows if I’m being honest.”

Mike smiles. “It’s ok if you can tell them about us.”

Will beams. “Really?”

“Yea really, I think we should tell everyone because you know Vecna feeds on these types of secrets.”

Will nods.

“What if they react badly?”

“Will baby, I don’t think us being gay is gonna send them away. We have bigger problems than that right now.”

Will chuckles, and kisses Mike.

“Can we stop at the WSQK first? We need to talk to Robin first.”

Mike nods before reluctantly getting up and heading for their bikes.

The radio crackled softly as Mike and Will began walking their bikes toward the edge of Castle Byers, as Jane slowly left the void.

The room froze.

Again.

Robin immediately buried her face in her hands.

"Oh my God."

Steve looked over.

"What?"

"'Baby.'"

Robin pointed at the radio.

"He called him baby."

Steve's eyes widened.

"Oh."

Nancy was trying and failing not to smile.

Jonathan looked like he'd just had several years worth of suspicions confirmed at once.

Joyce blinked.

Then blinked again.

Then a smile slowly appeared.

"He called him baby."

"Mom," Jonathan groaned.

"What?" Joyce asked.

"I'm happy!"

Back through the radio came Will's laugh.

The soft sound made Joyce's smile grow even wider.

"Oh, that's why he's been so happy lately."

Jonathan looked at her.

"You noticed?"

"I'm his mother."

"Fair."

Lucas folded his arms.

"I can't believe this."

Dustin looked over.

"What?"

"The amount of times we've been left behind because these two wanted to go on secret dates."

Dustin gasped.

"Oh my God."

"What?"

"The movie."

Everyone looked at him.

"What movie?" Nancy asked.

"The one last month!"

Lucas immediately started laughing.

"No way."

"Way!"

"What movie?" Steve asked.

Dustin pointed dramatically.

"Mike told us he couldn't come because he was helping Nancy."

Nancy frowned.

"I wasn't even home."

The room exploded.

"HE LIED FOR A DATE?"

"Apparently!"

Joyce covered her mouth as she laughed.

"Seriously," Dustin continued. "There was also that time at the arcade."

"And the picnic," Lucas added.

"The picnic?"

"Remember when they disappeared for four hours?"

Robin pointed.

"THAT WAS A DATE?"

"It was definitely a date."

Hopper rubbed his face.

"For months."

"For months," Lucas confirmed.

"They've been sneaking around for months."

Jane tilted her head.

"They were bad at it."

Robin immediately pointed at her.

"THANK YOU."

Everyone laughed.

Even Hopper let out a reluctant snort.

Then the radio crackled again.

"Rude."

Joyce smiled softly.

At least they were planning on telling people.

At least they weren't carrying it alone anymore.

Then she looked around the room.

A room full of shocked, emotional, amused people.

"Nobody says a word when they get here." Robin warns

Immediately Joyce agrees

“We need to let them tell us when they are ready ok.”

Everyone nods in agreement.

The ride back to WSQK was quiet.

Not uncomfortable.

Just nervous.

Will's stomach had been twisting itself into knots the entire way there.

Mike rode beside him, occasionally bumping their handlebars together just enough to make Will smile.

"You okay?" Mike asked.

Will nodded.

Then immediately shook his head.

"Not really."

Mike laughed softly.

"Yeah, me neither."

The WSQK building came into view.

Will slowed his bike.

Something felt...off.

"Mike."

"Yeah?"

"Why are there so many cars here?"

Mike looked up.

"Oh."

The parking lot was packed.

Not just Hopper's truck.

Everyone's cars.

Nancy's.

Jonathan's.

Steve's.

Robin's.

Even Joyce's.

Mike and Will exchanged a look.

"That's weird."

"Very weird."

As they got closer, they could see people moving inside through the windows.

Will groaned.

"Oh my God."

"What?"

"The Vecna meeting."

Mike's eyes widened.

"Oh shit."

The second they walked through the door every conversation stopped.

Silence.

Complete silence.

Every single person in the room turned to look at them.

Mike froze.

Will froze.

Dustin was staring.

Lucas was staring.

Robin looked like she was trying not to smile.

Steve looked like he was trying not to laugh.

Nancy was smirking.

Hopper looked exhausted.

Jane looked suspiciously innocent.

The silence stretched.

And stretched.

And stretched.

Mike slowly looked at Will.

Will slowly looked at Mike.

"Oh no."

"What?" Mike whispered.

"I think we're in trouble."

Before anyone could say anything, Will grabbed Mike's wrist.

"Come on."

"What?"

"Before I lose my nerve."

Will practically dragged him across the room.

Straight toward Joyce and Jonathan.

Everyone watched.

Nobody said a word.

Joyce looked up as they approached.

Her expression immediately softened.

"Hey, sweetheart."

Will swallowed.

"Can... can we talk?"

Jonathan looked at him for half a second before nodding.

"Of course."

The four of them stepped into a side office.

The second the door shut, the silence became overwhelming.

Will stared at the floor.

Mike squeezed his hand.

Jonathan immediately noticed.

Joyce immediately noticed.

Will's heart nearly exploded.

"Mom..."

His voice cracked.

Joyce's eyes softened further.

"Oh, honey."

Will laughed nervously.

Then wiped his eyes.

Then laughed again because he was crying.

"I had a whole speech."

Jonathan smiled.

"Yeah?"

Will nodded.

"I practiced it."

Mike squeezed his hand again.

Will looked at him.

Mike smiled.

The encouragement was enough.

Will took a shaky breath.

"Mom."

Joyce waited patiently.

"I'm gay."

The words hung in the air.

Years of fear.

Years of uncertainty.

Years of hiding.

All contained in two simple words.

Joyce didn't say anything immediately.

Will's stomach dropped.

Then she stepped forward.

And pulled him into her arms.

Will immediately broke.

A sob escaped him.

"Oh."

Joyce held him tighter.

"Oh, sweetheart."

The tears came all at once.

"I was so scared."

"I know."

"I didn't know how to tell you."

"I know."

"What if—"

"Will."

Joyce gently pulled back.

She cupped his face.

"There is absolutely nothing you could ever tell me that would make me stop loving you."

Will started crying harder.

Joyce laughed through her own tears.

"Nothing."

Will nodded.

Years of fear melted away.

Beside them, Jonathan was suspiciously looking at the ceiling.

Mike pointed at him.

"You're crying."

Jonathan immediately wiped his face.

"No I'm not."

"You literally are."

"I have allergies."

"In December?"

Jonathan pointed at Mike.

"Shut up."

A laugh escaped Will.

The tension finally broke.

Jonathan stepped forward.

He wrapped an arm around Will's shoulders.

"Hey."

Will looked at him.

"I love you too, okay buddy?"

Will nodded.

Jonathan smiled.

"And for the record?"

"What?"

"I kinda figured."

Will groaned.

"Jonathan."

"What?"

Jonathan laughed.

Then his eyes shifted toward Mike.

Who suddenly looked much more nervous.

"There's something else."

Will immediately smiled.

Joyce noticed.

Jonathan noticed.

Mike noticed that they noticed.

"Oh God."

Will reached over and grabbed Mike's hand.

Joyce's eyes widened slightly.

Mike looked ready to pass out.

"We're together."

Silence.

Then—

"Oh thank God."

Everyone blinked.

Joyce looked genuinely relieved.

"What?"

Joyce laughed.

"You have no idea how long I've been waiting for one of you to figure that out."

Will stared.

Mike stared.

Jonathan burst out laughing.

"Oh my God."

"You knew too?" Will asked.

Jonathan looked offended.

"Will."

"What?"

"You look at him like he hung the moon."

Will immediately turned red.

Mike looked equally horrified.

Joyce smiled.

"You both do."

Nobody spoke.

Then Mike quietly asked,

"You're...okay with it?"

Joyce looked heartbroken.

"Mike."

Mike immediately looked down.

Joyce stepped forward and pulled him into the hug too.

"Of course I'm okay with it."

Mike froze.

For a second he looked twelve years old again.

Scared.

Lost.

Needing reassurance.

Joyce squeezed him tighter.

"You make my son happy."

Mike's eyes watered instantly.

"And he makes you happy."

Mike nodded.

"Yeah."

"I can see that."

For a moment the room was quiet.

Comfortable.

Safe.

Then Joyce sighed.

"Oh."

"What?" Will asked.

Joyce looked between them.

Then at Jonathan.

Then back at them.

A smile slowly spread across her face.

"There is one thing."

Immediately both boys looked terrified.

"What?"

Joyce laughed.

"We already know."

Silence.

"What?"

Joyce pointed toward the door.

"The entire building already knows."

Will blinked.

Mike blinked.

Jonathan started laughing again.

"What do you mean everyone knows?"

Joyce laughed so hard she had tears in her eyes.

"Oh boys."

The realization slowly dawned on them.

Mike's eyes widened first.

Then Will's.

Then both of them turned toward Jane's location on the other side of the wall.

"Oh no."

"Oh yes."

Joyce grinned.

And from outside the office came the unmistakable sound of Robin laughing herself nearly unconscious.

“SHE SPIED ON US!”

“They say in unison.”

“No. We were worried about you guys and she kinda looked for you guys in the void.” Jonathan added.

The boys laughed despite themselves.

“Well I guess that's less people we have to tell.”

They all laugh in pure bliss, this weight finally being gone. The truth is finally out and everyone was ok with them.
