Summary
Verra Hawke never thought she would find herself trapped in the Fade, let alone that she would have volunteered for it. But when the Hero of Ferelden and the Inquisitor need an escape from a massive fear demon, that's precisely what she does. After all, what does the world need with a washed up old Champion, anyway?
But her plan to go out in a blaze of glory is thwarted by her own stubbornness, aided and abetted by a strange Fade spirit that insists it knows her, and has known her for a long time. It dangles hope before her, and if there's one thing Verra's always been a slave to, it's that little voice in her heart called hope. But of course, as with all things, it doesn't come without a price.
It's not where she thought her life would go, but somehow Hawke's never seemed to know when to quit.
