Work Text:

Scott and Stiles enter Derek's loft with contrasting expressions on their faces.

It was right on the night of Liam’s escape after Scott kidnapped him from the hospital.

The reason?

Because Scott bit him.

Derek slowly lowered himself mid-pull up as he was doing his nightly exercise routine and glanced over towards their direction, his eyebrows shooting up unconsciously at Stiles.

Almost like a habit.

Stiles let out an offended look.

His eyebrows raised back as if he was saying ‘don't look at me. It has nothing to do with me this time’.

Instead of explaining verbally, he crossed his arms and turned towards Scott who was encompassing a very very guilty and ashamed expression.

Derek dropped down from the pull-up bar and followed Stiles’ gaze, now staring at Scott.

His arms unconsciously crossed over his chest. As usual.

He didn't say anything at first, waiting for any of the two to explain themselves as to why they decided to barge into his home in the middle of the night.

Scott looked at Derek.

A range of expressions flickered on his face.

His mouth opened and closed like a fish caught out of water.

After who knows how long, Derek finally couldn't help but speak out.

“Well?” he asked.

Stiles looked at Derek and back at Scott who turned to glance at him with his usual pouty puppy look.

He let out an exasperated sigh, flailing his arms in an exaggerated way.

“I swear dude, you owe me millionssss,” Stiles said before turning towards Derek.

He spoke up, “I'll start since apparently Scotty here has a hard time finding his words or asking for people's help.”

Then, he looked back at Scott, pointing a finger towards him and giving him a warning look.

“But I'm only doing the start alright,” he added, “You continue explaining all that mumbo jumbo that happened when I wasn't there."

Scott’s eyes shone with gratefulness as he gave Stiles a nod.

Stiles rolled his eyes and turned to Derek.

“So… hear us out first before you say anything, alright.”

* * * * * * *

It was unknown how many times Derek's eyebrows shot up.

If it could go higher, it might’ve reached the sky by now.

Stiles finally finished explaining, with Scott taking over midway after he finally gained enough confidence and knew what to say.

“And that's how it happened,” Scott said. “Which is why we're here. Cause I need help.”

The both of them held their breaths as they waited for Derek's response.

It was silent.

Very silent.

Beads of sweat even started dripping at the back of Scott's neck.

He never wanted to be a werewolf in the first place.

Yeah, now it might be different. But he always swore to not bite anyone and turn them into a werewolf. At least not without consent.

His mind kept on turning, whispers from the dark corners of his mind trying to convince him that he's turning out to be like Peter.

And the silence just made it worse.

To the point that he hadn't even noticed Derek's mouth twitch slightly upwards.

“Let me get this straight,” Derek finally started, causing Scott and Stiles’ attention to finally focus on him, waiting for his advice.

Any advice would do.

From an older werewolf.

Just not Peter.

“You bit someone,” Derek confirmed.

Scott's shoulders dropped slightly, a huge wave of guilt emitting from his body.

Stiles noticed it too despite not being a werewolf that can scent emotions.

“Not totally his fault,” Stiles spoke up, placing his hands behind him and shifting his weight from heel to toe and vice versa. “It was the guy with no mouth remember, and the wendigo. It was just bad timing. But Scotty here saved Liam.”

Scott wasn't fully convinced, still lost in his thoughts.

“I could've killed him,” he added.

“But you didn't,” Stiles replied, tilting his head slightly with his words having a bit of snark and frankness. “He would've fallen to his death a hundred percent if it weren't for you.”

Then he looked at Derek.

“Talk to him, would you?” Stiles said. “He might be more convinced if it was coming from a werewolf than a human.”

That put Scott out of his thoughts.

“No, Stiles. I believe you,” he said. “It’s not about…It's just that…”

Stiles waved a hand around.

“Kidding, Scotty.” He said.

Then he sighed.

“It was just a joke,” he added. “You're really restless today, aren't you?”

Scott blinked.

“Oh,” he replied absently.

“It wasn't your fault Scott,” Derek said. “Although kidnapping… is definitely not something I would advice you on.”

Scott groaned, running a palm across his face.

“I know,” he agreed. “That was one of the worst decisions I ever made.”

He sighed before continuing, “I just didn't know what to do at that time.”

Derek nodded.

“I understand,” he said. “But you lost him? Both of you?”

They shared a look.

Stiles started to let out his defense.

“Technically, we had him tied up,” he explained. “No way of escaping. But then he did all that whimpering and puppy eye thing. And because of that, Scotty here decided to let him go. And he was fast.”

“He was crying,” Scott defended. “He seemed like he was hurt.”

“Of course he was hurt. He was chased by a wendigo, almost fell off a rooftop where there was that no mouth creature, and then was bitten and tied up by a werewolf in the same night. He probably thought we're gonna traffick him to Mexico,” Stiles pointed out.

Scott gave him a look. “You gave him that idea.”

Stiles shrugged. “Again, I wasn't being serious, which I know I should probably think twice about, especially with the situation.”

Then, he thought for a moment.

“You know what,” he paused. “Maybe that was his plan cause he knew you'd be a sucker for googly eyes! Ohh that acting… I see how—”

“—With the situation at hand,” Derek interrupted Stiles’ ranting. “It's a good thing you didn't get caught by anyone else. That would've been harder to explain.”

“Liam still witnessed everything,” Scott explained. “And he got away. What do we say to him when we find him tomorrow?”

“And hoping that he doesn't tell anyone first,” Stiles added.

“What to say? That's up to you,” Derek said. “You're his alpha now.”

Scott frowned.

“I never planned to be,” he said.

“Nobody plans for this,” Derek replied.

“What if I'm not a good alpha to him? I can barely take care of those in my pack right now,” Scott said. “And with all these stuff going on currently… Can I even…” His words trailed off.

“That's not on you,” Derek cut him off. “You're certainly a better alpha than I was.”

Scott realized what he was talking about.

“Derek, no.” He frowned before continuing. “Erica and Boyd wasn't your fault. It was the alpha pack and Jennifer.”

“I know,” Derek replied. “And you should know too. All the things and situations you guys experienced. That wasn’t something normal. You can’t expect to be perfect.”

He paused for a second.

“You're learning. Just trust in yourself. Teach him how to be a wolf,” he continued. “He will have you to guide him.”

“Did you hear that Scotty?” Stiles said. “Just try to be like Derek. Well, I doubt that you could. That broodiness of his must most likely be hereditary. But hey, even he wasn't perfect. And hey again, we all made it this far even with all the shitty situations. You can do this.”

Scott nodded.

Then, he finally looked back at Derek.

“Can I ask you to come with me tomorrow?” he asked. “I would feel more at ease if you were there when we confront Liam.”

Derek nodded.

“I'm glad you think you need me,” he said.

Scott smiled.

“I'll always need you guys,” he glanced between Derek and Stiles. “You're pack.”

The other two smiled back.

Derek added, “And we have another wolf joining the pack.”

“Just hope that he won't be as violent as tonight,” Stiles muttered. “At this rate, I'm gonna need claws to survive this pack. I don't think I can handle being the weakest member.”

Scott shook his head fondly.

“You're not weak Stiles,” he said with a warm voice filled with reassurance. “In fact, you're one of the strongest in the pack. Despite being human, you faced off against the worst foes and survived.”

“I agree,” Derek said.

Stiles placed a hand over his chest. “Aw thank you guys. I wish I recorded that.”

Scott let out a laugh while Derek rolled his eyes fondly.

Then they went back to the topic.

“Him at school? Will that be a good idea?” Stiles asked.

“I can go and stay on the sidelines,” Derek said. “Until you can find a time to get this Liam boy away from everyone.”

Stiles grinned mischievously.

Scott started, “Stiles—”

But he was too late.

“Back to your brooding stalkerish era ey Derbear,” Stiles continued.

Derek uncrossed his arms and cracked his knuckles.

Stiles paled.

“Kidding! Just kidding,” he hurriedly added.

Derek finally let out a satisfied smile.

“With what you're saying—yes. But that's on you guys,” he explained. “I would have never been anywhere near the school if it weren't for babysitting you two in the past.”

“Awww. You do care, Der-bear,” Stiles added. “Hey! That rhymed.”

Derek ignored his antics, already used to it.

“We'll try to talk to Liam first thing tomorrow morning,” Scott said.

The final plan has been set in motion.

But the question is whether it will go as expected.

* * * * * * *

The next day at school, they saw Liam in the hallway.

Scott and Stiles glanced at each other before trying to catch up with the teen before he entered his class.

“Liam, Hey!” Stiles yelled out.

Liam’s back stiffened as he slowly turned around with an alert expression.

Scott and Stiles stopped in front of him.

“Liam, we need to talk—” Scott started.

Liam cut him off.

“—no. Listen,” he said. “You need to back the hell up okay? Both of you.”

Scott continued, “Can you just listen to us for one second.”

Liam looked at him with narrowed eyes.

“Please,” Scott finished.

Liam then crossed his arms and looked at them with a look of impatience and slight expectation.

Scott looked at Stiles.

But Stiles only looked back at Scott, waiting.

Scott panicked.

He never thought about what to actually say to him.

Yeah, he garnered that he would need to talk to Liam. But he expected to be able to have a full convo so that he could explain it slowly.

Bit by bit.

Not in a time-constrained situation like this.

It felt as if he was an intern trying to convince a client to buy his product within 1 minute.

His mind blanked out.

Think, Scott.

Then…

He saw something from the corner of his eyes.

It was Derek watching over them from the corner of the forest and through the window.

Scott let out a deep breath.

“Liam,” Scott said with a serious tone.

There was a short pause that felt too long—way too long—for this moment.

Scott stared at Liam with a serious expression.

Liam stared back warily.

“We're brothers now,” he finished.

There was silence.

Stiles did not blink.

He did not move for a few seconds.

Until finally, he groaned.

He ran a hand through his hair as he stared at his best friend with unhidden shock.

“Oh, God, that's…” he struggled to contain his words, not wanting to blurt out stuff while Scott was trying to reach Liam.

He finally placed his fist right in his mouth, slightly biting his knuckles to stop himself from commenting further.

Even Derek, who was leaning slightly on a tree with one shoulder, was shocked by the familiarity of Scott's words.

He almost slipped as a small branch from the tree he was leaning on, snapped.

Liam’s head jerked back slightly as his face twisted into confusion, not even bothering to pay any mind to Stiles’ earlier reaction.

“What are you talking about?” he asked Scott.

It took a moment of silence before he added.

“We just met yesterday and you bit me,” he spat out harshly.

Scott opened his mouth, his posture awkward, his feet shuffling slightly as he shifted his weight.

“The bite…” his words trailed off.

His eyes glanced towards Derek whose eyes went wide in shock.

Then to Stiles who was shaking his head and mouthing ‘Scott, no’ while his fist was still in front of his mouth.

But Scott didn't understand anything at the moment.

“The bite is a gift,” he said stiffly.

His voice was devoid of any emotion, as if he was reading out a script.

Derek finally looked away, his shoulders shaking.

Stiles looked at Scott in horror.

At this point, Derek’s head was bent down, his shoulders shaking even more from undisguised laughter that none other than Scott noticed.

He was confused.

Stiles finally had it.

He moved forward and covered Scott's mouth.

“Scott, stop!” he said. “Please, stop.”

Then he looked towards Liam.

“You,” he pointed towards the teen and repeated louder. “You! We're trying to help you, you little runt!”

Liam snorted.

“What,” he said, crossing his arms. “By kidnapping me?”

Stiles wiggled his finger multiple times at him.

“...Just to clarify,” he said. “Scott here kidnapped you, okay? I aided and abetted.”

Liam’s face scrunched up.

“That doesn't make it better,” he said.

“Liam,” Scott started again. “I've gone through all of this before. Something is happening to you. Something big. And it's got to do with the bite.”

Liam rolled his eyes.

“Nothing's happening to me okay?” He exclaimed. “I have no idea what you're talking about.”

“No, you don't understand,” Scott added. “The bite is not a normal one—”

Liam cut him off.

“—Nothing is happening.”

Then he took off the bandage harshly from his wound and showed them.

“Nothing.” He repeated.

Scott and Stiles’ eyes widened, staring at the pale skin where a bite wound should've been.

Unless…

The bite took.

But before they were able to let out a response, Liam had already turned around and quickly left them.

His rushed footsteps echoed through the hallway as if he was running away from wolves.

Technically, he was.

But that's something he was not aware of at this point of time.

Stiles was the first one to speak.

“The bite mark…” he said.

Scott's breath hitched.

“It took,” he confirmed.

Stiles glanced at him with uncertainty.

“That's…” he said. “A good thing, right?”

Scott blinked.

“Uh, yeah. It is,” he said. “I mean the other option would be if it hadn't taken. Then that would mean he would have…”

The word got caught up in his throat.

But Stiles understood what he meant.

“Yeah,” Stiles responded.

There was a moment of silence.

It was as if neither of them could believe it. Or maybe they had just finally started to believe it.

Things just got more real.

“Well,” Stiles said. “Congrats on your first bitten beta Scotty.”

Scott groaned.

“This is the worst timing ever,” he said.

Stiles snorted, agreeing with him.

“You probably need more lucky charms with all your bad luck,” he said. “Hey, at least I know what to get you for next year's birthday.”

Then, his expression changed.

“But really?” he said. “What the heck was that earlier?!”

Scott tilted his head at Stiles, wondering which one he meant.

Stiles added, “The bite is a gift? Who are you and why are you trying to be Derek?”

Scott ran a hand through his hair until it stopped right at the nape of his neck, a sheepish expression appearing on his face.

“I blanked out. Didn't actually think I'd just have a minute or so to convince him about everything,” Scott replied. “It's not exactly a convo that could be rushed. And hey, yesterday you just told me to be more like Derek.”

“Not in the literal sense Scotty,” Stiles exclaimed with exaggerated movements. “And why not tell him directly? I did it to you, didn't I? I told you right away that you were a werewolf.”

Scott groaned.

“And how did I react?” he pointed out.

There was a short pause.

“You thought I was joking,” Stiles replied.

Then, he blinked in realization.

“Exactly,” Scott pointed out. “And you're my best friend. But I didn't even believe you.”

He then added, “We're strangers to Liam. What makes you think he'll even believe us?”

Stiles pursed his lips into a pout.

“You got a point,” he said. “I still think we could find a way though with you showing your wolfiness or something. But you're right, don't think that would be best. We'll need to get him away later and in a less rushed environment.”

Scott glanced outside at Derek, who was obviously still looking at them, his expression tinged with amusement.

“Derek…” Scott spoke under his breath, knowing that the other wolf could hear him.

“We'll try to get Liam again later in the locker room,” he said.

Derek nodded.

“I'll be there,” he replied. “And Stiles is right, Scott. You use your own words. Don't use mine. I'm a born wolf, so the bite was always a gift to us. It wasn’t until meeting you that made me realize it may not be the same for everyone.”

Scott nodded.

“I still don't think he'll listen to me,” Scott said.

Derek replied, “He's your Beta, Scott. He will listen to you if you start using your own words. You both have a special bond if you build up on it from the start. Not in the way Peter did to you.”

Scott finally nodded.

“Okay… I'll try,” he said. “Thanks, Derek.”

Then they finally moved on with their day, trying to find another perfect opportunity to catch Liam alone again.

* * * * * * *

“He's coming,” Scott whispered.

In the locker room, Scott and Stiles were hidden behind a row of lockers, peering through the gaps as Liam finally entered alone.

Derek stood right in the corner on the opposite side, concealed from Liam’s view.

Stiles gave him a quick thumbs up.

Derek responded with a blank stare, but then gave an almost reluctant nod.

“What the hell?” Liam muttered out as the sound of a locker opened. “Where’s my stick?”

That was their cue.

Derek stepped out from his hiding spot, slowly walking out.

“This yours?” he asked, holding up a lacrosse stick.

Liam's eyes narrowed immediately, looking at him with a wary look before glancing down at the lacrosse stick that he was holding.

Derek smirked.

Then, without any warning, he held the stick straight before effortlessly snapping it in half.

The sharp crack echoed throughout the locker room.

Liam flinched hard at the sound, his shoulders jerking. His hands clenched into fists as his head dipped down slightly.

Almost like something within him was struggling to be contained.

“Did he have to be that mean?” Stiles whispered with a low voice, leaning slightly towards Scott.

When Liam looked back up again, his eyes had already turned gold with his fangs poking slightly out of his lips.

A low growl was building in his chest as his anger steadily rose.

And in the next second, he lunged.

Liam immediately rushed forward with sudden, uncontrolled force towards Derek, fury overtaking him completely that he was not able to hold himself back.

Scott and Stiles immediately moved in from behind the lockers as they watched the scene escalate within a span of less than a minute..

Derek, on the other hand, didn’t even flinch.

He only watched Liam with an infuriatingly calm grin.

Seeing that actually made the younger teen even more angry.

Scott shot Derek a helpless look, noticing the exchange and the older wolf's amusement.

Derek looked back at Scott.

“You're right,” he said casually. “He is angry.”

That resulted in another attempt as Liam snarled at him.

He attempted to surge forward again in an attack.

Scott finally stepped in.

“Liam,” he said firmly, grabbing the teen and pulling him away from Derek.

But Liam twisted immediately, trying to redirect his target—now trying to attack Scott instead of Derek.

Scott braced himself and held Liam steady.

“Hey—listen to me,” he said, steadying his grip on Liam’s shoulders. “That wasn’t your stick okay? Yours is over there.”

He pointed in one direction.

Stiles, who was standing near the bench, was cautiously holding another lacrosse stick.

When Liam followed Scott’s gaze and saw Stiles holding his stick, a threatening growl rolled out of him.

Stiles immediately set it down like it was set on fire and stepped back—making large, exaggerated steps further back—not wanting to be the next target.

“Yeah, nope. Not me. I’m out,” he muttered.

Liam turned back towards Scott, still struggling to get out of his grip.

He tried to attack him more, his claws extending and coming out of his hands and scratching across Scott's arms, trying to force the other person to let him go.

Thin streaks of blood came out.

Scott tensed momentarily–but still didn’t let go.

He had expected panic.

But instead, he was calm.

Even calmer than he expected.

Instead, there was more clarity.

Maybe it was because of the advice he had gotten earlier.

Or maybe it was the fact that his pack members were right here with him.

But this time, he wanted to try understanding Liam’s situation.

He wasn’t going to fight Liam like an enemy.

Nor did he need to pretend to be someone else.

He was going to reach him.

His eyes flashed red unconsciously.

“Liam,” He spoke, his voice softer now. “Listen to me.”

Liam froze.

His breathing was heavy and uneven from all the struggle.

His chest rose and fell too fast.

Almost as if he had just finished multiple laps.

Then, Liam’s gaze dropped to his own hands, like he was seeing them for the first time.

“What's wrong with me?” he whispered.

Scott slowly released his grip once he felt Liam’s resistance fading.

And fully let go when Liam calmed down enough to gain clarity of what’s happening.

Liam turned sideways, staggering towards where the mirrors were, immediately seeing his reflection.

Gold eyes.

Fangs.

And the claws that he already caught a glimpse of from earlier.

He let out a gasp, taking a step back before stumbling on his feet.

He collapsed to the floor, with one hand pressed to his chest as he struggled to breathe properly.

“No… no, no—” he choked out. “What is happening to me?”

Scott slowly knelt down a few feet away, careful to not overwhelm him.

Tears were threatening to come out of Liam’s eyes, ones that he struggled to hold in.

“The same thing that happened to me,” Scott said gently.

Liam shook his head violently.

“They can't know about this,” Liam said quickly. “My mom, my stepdad... I can't do this to them again.”

Scott frowned slightly.

“Again?" Stiles asked sharply. “What do you mean, "again?"”

Liam went silent.

Scott repeated the question, his voice soft and gentle.

“Liam,” he said, catching the teen's attention. “What did you mean by ‘again’?”

Liam hesitated.

“I…” His throat tightened.

He paused for a moment, glancing at the three people in front of him before moving his gaze back towards Scott’s reassuring ones.

He continued, “I got kicked out of school... and I deserved it. But the way they looked at me, when they saw what I did to that car…”

“Liam, hey,” Scott interrupted quickly when he noticed the rushed panic. “It's okay—”

However, Liam shook his head and broke.

His shoulders trembled as the first sob escaped his mouth.

“They can't see me like this,” he said. “Like… like—”

“Like a monster?” Scott finished quietly.

Liam didn’t answer right away, his head down as if he was trying to avoid their gaze.

But then, he nodded.

Scott exhaled slowly.

“Liam… You're not a monster,” he said.

Liam looked up, his eyes still wet from remaining unshed tears.

“If I'm not a monster,” he asked, his voice breaking halfway. “Then what am I?”

Scott hesitated only for a split second.

“You're a werewolf,” he said, his eyes flashing red, causing Liam's eyes to flicker gold in response. “Like me.”

Scott turned slightly towards Derek, whose eyes also flashed blue.

Liam followed his gaze.

“You're all werewolves?” he asked faintly.

“Not all of us,” Stiles replied immediately.

Liam sniffed.

A thought came to mind.

Since Stiles’ eyes didn't flash the same way, then he was probably not one.

“What are you?” Liam asked him.

Stiles blinked.

“The Abominable Snowman,” he said flatly.

Liam stared at him.

“Really?” he asked curiously.

Stiles’ expression twisted, the expression holding for a second before he sighed.

“No, dumbass. That was a joke,” he said. “Which is probably a wrong thing to say at the wrong time so forget what I just said.”

“Oh,” Liam muttered.

He turned back towards Scott.

“What do I do now?” he asked.

Scott gave him a reassuring smile.

“Well, we have a lot of things to explain to you. But that'll have to wait until you have finally come to terms with what we just told you,” he said. “I know this sounds insane. I didn't believe it either when it happened to me. But first, you need time to process this.”

Liam nodded, and sniffed.

“Don't worry,” Scott continued, giving another warm smile. “We'll be here for you, helping you adjust and adapt to things.”

Liam sniffed once again.

“Like the full moon?” he asked.

“Exactly. Like the full moon,” Scott replied. “The first few may be rough, but you won't have to go through it alone. We'll teach you control.”

“Control… I'll definitely need that one,” Liam muttered under his breath before sniffing again.

He rubbed the back of his hand across his nose.

Scott sighed and glanced at Stiles, who understood his look.

Stiles immediately pulled out a small clean towel from nearby and tossed it over towards Scott.

Scott caught it, habitually folding it before gently pressing it to Liam’s face.

He pinched Liam’s nose, causing the other teen's eyes to widen.

“You just got a little snot right there,” Scott pointed out.

“I…” Liam’s face flushed instantly. “I could've done that myself.”

His ears flushed from embarrassment.

“We're pack,” Scott said simply. “We take care of each other.”

“Better get used to it,” Stiles spoke up. “You're the new baby wolf of the pack.”

“Stiles…” Derek warned.

Stiles glanced at the older wolf and huffed.

“And you're the old one,” he shot back.

Derek rolled his eyes.

“I'm only 5 years older than you both,” he pointed out.

“Still counts,” Stiles replied. “Must be all that broodiness. Or that beard. That makes you look older.”

Liam let out a small, shaky breath that almost resembled a laugh.

Stiles turned towards Liam.

“Welcome to the pack Liam,” he finally said.

Liam finally gave a small smile.

“Where do I start from this?” Liam asked, looking at them with an expectant look.

“For now,” Scott said. “Just go through the rest of your classes as usual. If anything feels off-–anything at all—you call us.”

Liam nodded.

“Even just about anything unusual, okay?” Scott added. “Don’t hesitate to call or ask any of us at the first sign you feel something different or just want to leave.”

Stiles placed both his hands in his pockets as he leaned against a random locker.

“You do realize you need to give him your number though, if you want him to be able to contact you,” he pointed out with an amused expression.

Scott’s eyes widened, a sheepish look appearing on his face.

“Oh yeah,” he said.

Liam immediately took out his phone which Scott took.

Scott added his number in the contacts, as well as Stiles and Derek’s.

“There… We'll meet after school and explain things to you properly, alright?” he told Liam.

Liam gave another nod.

“You’re not alone in this,” Scott said. “For now, get to class, Liam. We'll see you later.”

Liam hesitated, then nodded one last time.

The three of them watched as Liam quickly cleaned up himself in front of the mirror, making sure he looked presentable before exiting the locker room.

But not before giving the three of them one last glance at the doorway.

He gave them a small wave.

Scott also waved back in response, his hand still raised even after Liam disappeared from their view.

A chill crept up Scott’s spine.

He turned.

Derek was watching him with a strange and odd smile. One that was so unusual, that it gave him goosebumps.

“What are you smiling about?” Scott asked, looking at him with confusion.

“You're going to be good at this,” Derek said.

Scott blinked.

Then his eyes widened, his jaw dropping open as if Derek was joking.

“Are you kidding?” A laugh of disbelief escaped his mouth. “I am totally unprepared!”

Derek let out a low chuckle.

Stiles crossed his arms and let out a grin, content to see the two wolves banter against each other.

Then a thought came to Scott’s mind.

He exhaled.

“Remember when you said you would teach me a few things?” He brought up. “I think right now, I could use a full-on training manual…”

Derek looked at him.

“I'll tell you one thing,” he said, pausing for a moment before continuing, “That anger he's got? It'll make him strong.”

“And dangerous…” Scott added quietly, his eyes furrowing together.

But Derek wasn't worried.

Instead, his smile widened.

“Very,” he agreed.

Scott groaned.

“This was supposed to be the semester where I could finally focus on school again,” he said.

“But so many things are happening,” he added. “Now Kate's back, and I've got a Beta, and apparently there's a Deadpool...

“We'll get through this,” Derek said.

“Yeah, Scotty, we’ve got each other,” Stiles added. “We always got each other. Past, present, and future. We’ll find a way.”

Scott looked between them.

Then he let out a sigh as a sincere smile appeared on his face.

“Yeah,” he said. “We always do. We can do this. I got you guys.”

Notes:

This was soooo cute to write hahahah. I just love pack fluff and wholesome pack interactions. Can't wait to write some mini one-shots or short stories in the future once I have any inspiration or more time, while I continue writing my main story.

I do have another story idea that I really wanna get started too but I'll just keep those outlines for later. I don't want to start another major story while the previous is still unfinished.

Anyways I hope you enjoyed reading this fic. And if you don't mind, please leave kudos. 🩷
