Summary
Set between episodes 56 and 80.
“To be quite honest, Martin, I’m really rather relieved.”
After regarding everyone in the archives with suspicion for Gertrude’s murder, it turns out the only person Jon can trust is local office poet, Martin Blackwood. The man in question has his own concerns relating to the paranoid archivist, and reaches out to help Jon any way he can.
Something seems to happen at this point in the series to make the two of them grow closer, but we don’t see what it is. This fic tries to “fill in the blanks”, if you will.
